Rules & Regulations

The following rules and instructions are provided for your information. Please read them carefully. Your adherence to these rules and instructions will make this event flow smoothly and safely, and failure to do so may result in disqualification in some cases.

Attendance at the morning drivers meeting is mandatory.

The speed limit for Poker Runs at the Lake of the Ozarks is 70 mph. Representatives from the Water Patrol will be in attendance at our drivers meeting to discuss this and other rules concerning Poker Runs at the Lake of the Ozarks.

The Support Our Troops Poker Run is NOT A RACE. Our goal is to put on a safe fun event to raise money for these worthwhile charities.

No passing of the Pace Boats until the Pace Boat releases you.
If you pass the Pace Boat before being released, you will be disqualified and forfeit all of your poker hands and those of your passengers.

Boats must maintain a distance of 100 feet from other boats while under power.

Crew members should wave arms overhead when coming off plane to notify following boats that you will be slowing.

PFD’s (life jackets) are encouraged to be worn by each person in the boat during the poker run.

Lanyards and kill switches are to be used during the poker run.

Registration stickers for the poker run are to be displayed throughout the event.

Arm bracelets are not to be removed until after the event is over Saturday night.

Card turn in starts at 3:30pm and ends at 6:00pm.
The only exceptions: Equipment failure or assisting a fellow boater on the water.
Poker run officials must be notified by 6:00pm of Participants name(s) and Boat.

Each card station is to be considered a “NO WAKE ZONE”!

NO CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL by the driver of each boat during this event.
If the driver is caught drinking during this event he/she and all passengers will be disqualified and forfeit all of your poker hands.

You can choose to hit any 5 stops in order to complete your hand. If you choose to hit every stop on the poker run, you will be entered into a special drawing the end of the run, for a prize.

You may purchase additional cards (limit 2 per hand) at the registration table before turning in your tally sheet.

This can only be done when all five stops have been completed and you return to register your poker hand.

In case of a tie, the top three hands will be paid.

If more than three hands tie, an absolute 5-card re-deal among the parties will be dealt to determine the order finish.

All decisions by the judges are final.

No refunds or rain checks will be given; the poker run goes on rain or shine. Registrations are transferable if you can't make the run for some reason.
