    Questions About Beaver Lake, Ar

Does anybody know of any home/condo rentals either by the week or day? We are trying to get a small group together at a nice lake where we dont have to worry about the weather and would like to find something atleast within walking distance (dont want to have to interrupt the boozing)

    THANKS!

We go to Beaver Lake every other year. Clean water, A Very nice lake. It is in a DRY area so stock up on the Adult beverages before you get there..... The majority of the lake is in Benton county which is dry. Its nothing like LOTO as far as partying . They have built it up to be a family lake. So if your looking to party hard this might not be the lake to go too.

    From the news paper:
Rusty Johnson of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission
it is important that people know alcohol is not allowed on the lake.

"It is a dry county and it is federal property," Johnson said. "(Alcohol) is not allowed out here."

However, as long as individuals on the lake abide by the laws, Beaver Lake safety officials will not check boats at random for alcohol, said Ed Kolodzieski, volunteer sergeant for the Benton County Sheriff's Office.

"We don't really check people for alcohol," Kolodzieski said. "We do not board boats and check."
But, like on the roads, law enforcement can arrest individuals for boating under the Influence at a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or above and 1,000 to $2,500 for drinking violations.

We stay at horse shoe bend in the camper so I dont have a good place to stay, on the other end of the lake is Eureka Springs and lots of hotels and all the night life.
Just dont take a 40' camper down town and make the wrong turn it sucks to try and get turned around on 9 foot wide streets

My family and a group of around 20 went 5 years ina row to a place called Coppermine Lodge. Excellent location, close to the water, boat slips available right there where you can see from your room or they have houses to rent. We always rented a 9 bedroom place. It was clean but a little primitive. We were outside on the lake all the time anyway. You might check it out, I'm sure they have a website. Let me know if you want anymore info, I'm sure the wife will have the website.

It was a tight Squeeze to make it down the road then you hit the spilt and a 90` turn. We spent most the day trying to get out and back on the highway.

Luckly I was not driving my wifes dad was and he pulls a trailer for a living. Everyone in the truck was like were are so screwed but he made it. Also with a long bed dodge dually , Our mirrors missed the cars by inches on each side. with a normal car it is tight on the narrow streets.

But a fun place to go to if you have never been to the area.

Holy crap, I had NO CLUE that having alcohol on the lake was a problem there. We were there for a week last year (rented a house courtesy of VRBO) and drank like sailors every day. It was always up in coves for the most part, but still...had no idea.

Beaver Lake is in two counties Benton and Carroll. About 1/4 of the lake is in Carroll. The other 3/4 in Benton. It's Carroll County that has cracked down on drinking , not Beaver Lake. Carroll is on the east side from the dam to the big cliffty , Hogs Cald area. Go on up the Lake to Pine Top AKA Rambo Creek and you will find 50 to 100 boats tied up drinking every weekend. It's not a LOTO party cove but there is drinking, hot women , college kids , as well as familys. Water patrol is in and out. If your not doing something real stupid they leave you alone.

Hogs Cald Creek was the old party place til Carroll County cracked down. Now everyone stays in Benton Co. and I have seen no one get in trouble for drinking.
