There have been alot of people going to the back of big cow creek. However It is not as busy as the swing. You might try it for something different.
Where are the Swings???
Tempest38 and I are headed down tomorrow as well. Jason Smith, Lakerat and a few others we know are already there. My cell is 316-640-6368. give us a call and maybe we can get a MWBP line at the swings or someother good cove. JS knows the lake pretty well. The swings are by Aunts Creek. Nav marker 9, if I remember correctly.

We will be in T38's 40 Hawk, Wellcraft Excalber. It is a red and black 20 year old boat. hard to miss.

Good judgement comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgement...
We will be there Saturday and Sunday.
From Kimberling City Go up the lake. The lake goes L to shell Knob or R up James River. Go up James River a mile or 2 and You will see a Bluff on the left with a bunch of boats tied up. I am not even sure if there is still a swing there or not. Can,t miss the boats.Originally Posted by DMC22TX

Just got back from a great week at the rock.
Watch out though for alot of debris in the water. It rained every day we were there and last week end we got drenched.
There were always flsh flood warnings out and the lake level is as high as I've seen it in a while.
Have Fun!!!!!!!!!!
We were at Kimberling Inn last weekend and got next to no rain and we ran all over and we didnt see any debri at all.Originally Posted by gcfire

915 is the normal lake level it's 916 now so it's far from being high. But it's slow for the fourth of July. Looks like about 40-50 boats at the swing right now. I guess it's the 4th being the middle of the week.
I'm having gas problems
it was slow today. everywhere
