We will be picking up our new boat in a couple of weeks and already have the Frenzy Wax ready to go on. I was thinking of using the Shark Tower since it has Teflon in it on the bottom or would Frenzy be the choice for here. I want this for protection and to help the scum slide off. Past racing experience has proven to me that waxing the bottom will not make the boat go faster but will slow it down a bit.

Shark Tower does not have Teflon in it. Teflon is a coating on its own. In order to protect the bottom like you are thinking, you will need to apply Teflon first. Wait 24 to 48 hours, then apply Waxing Frenzy! This is really only necessary if you leave your boat in the water for long periods of time. Generally, Waxing Frenzy alone will do the trick.
We have not had any record of slowing the boats down by waxing the bottom; however, that is a personal decision. The racers for whom we have waxed their bottoms didn't notice any change in speed or handling. We always waxed our bottom because we wanted to keep the "crap" off.
Good luck and congrats on the new boat!
