Stereo help in KC area...

I am soooooo lost when it comes to audio equip... I am having serious stereo issues.... In fact I am about ready to yank it all out and take it out back and smash it up like they did with the office equipment in the movie office space...

1st - the rear speakers quit working, two under cuddy worked fine...

NOW - Stereo wont power on, checked fuse...its good. Pulled head unit, fuses good... checked fuses at amp... guess what good...

I have a clarion head unit, two speakers under front, four plus two subs in the cockpit, I have two remotes...one on dash and other back by swim platform, clarion amp...

Where can I take it to get it fixed?? I cant stand it when &^%T quit working...

somewhere that wont charge me an arm and leg???

First thing you need to do is make sure you've got power getting to the head unit. Buy a $5 test light, clip one end to a ground and touch other end to the hot wire at the head unit. You can pull the fuse apart and check it there. If you've got power, then chances are good that the head unit is dead and will have to be replaced. If you don't have power, then its the wire or connection.

Also, you should have another fuse for both the head unit and amp somewhere near the battery. Did you check those???

The amp went bad.... who ever hooked up my stereo did not put the cuddy speaker [smilie=071.gif] thru the amp... new infinity amp installed tonight...

Now not sure why ALL channels went dead at once though... (any chance the rough water at loto could have jarred it enough to break?? ) Just another reason for me to not like cruisers....... :roll:
