All you with 502MPI's waht sort of water temp are you getting? Last fall I was running around 190 with mine and I thought that was a bit high and thought the impellers in my drives may nees a change. Any thoughts?

Depends on the T-stat you have. 190 seems high compared to what I have seen. Usually if the impellers are bad you will increase as you idle through a marina. If the lake water has come up late in the summer they tend to run a little warmer.

For me to spend $80 a year to make sure I dont have an overheating problem is a no brainer. I also run in a lot of sandy water. I would think you could get 150 to 200 hrs on one that wasnt in the sandy water.

Impeller in you drives? I'm assuming you have bravos? Bravos have external sea water attached to the engine and run off a belt.

I rebuilt my sea pumps, they were hurtin from when I sucked a bunch of sand in them at the early stages of summer last year. As soon as it gets a bit warmer I will give it a shot to see if this helped, its still cold here in michigan.

Thanks for the help all......
