I would like to find something that can clean and get dirt out of the little creases in the vinyl.. what does frenzy offer??
Also is there anything to use to spray on a boat after it comes out of the lake to wipe off the lake scum??
Thanks!

Sounds crazy, but if you are talking about the "texture" in the vinyl. Try Mr Clean Magic Erasers. I would have never believed how much dirt and such it took off the vinyl. Try it! You can buy them at most any grocery store.

The best thing I have found for a quick spray on wipe off that wont hurt your gelcoat or wax is "Quik Clean" by Meguiar's in their marine wax line. The last place I bought some was Walmart in Osage Beach but most large marine stores should carry it.

Sorry I haven't been online. My son just graduated from HS and we've been getting ready to send him off to college.
I'm sure by now you have cleaned your vinyl. In the future, try Frenzy Super Degreaser or Orange Concentrate. Both of these products will clean the vinyl without drying it out or staining. For tougher stains, you can use Waxing Frenzy!
Follow up with Frenzy! Viny Protectant. It has the highest UV protection and also locks in the plasticizers which keep the material soft and supple. Prevents fading and cracking and makes cleaning a breeze.
Hope you all are enjoying your summer! Be safe.

"Also is there anything to use to spray on a boat after it comes out of the lake to wipe off the lake scum?? "
Wax the boat with Waxing Frenzy. Spray down with Frenzy! Spray Wax each time you pull the boat out of the water. Frenzy is one of the only Quick Detailers/Spray Waxes on the market that actually offers protection and, unlike Mequiars, will not evaporate on hot surfaces. It's more expensive, but you get about 2 weeks of protection, removes water spots, and you actually get to use what you pay for. We have tested on surfaces temperatures exceeding 170 degrees. You'll love it! [smilie=071.gif]

By the way I use it only to remove the water spots an clean the fiberglass, its not a wax.[smilie=trink39]
I will vouch for frenzy. Best products i have found. The vinyl protectant leaves a soft, supple feel without the greasy residue. Wax is awesome, spray wax too. I always use the spray wax on my black truck to remove water spots following washing.
Here is a picture of my 1996 model boat following waxing on Saturday.

Magic Erasers and if you can find it, An Armor All product called Oxy Magic....or something like that. It is an upholstry cleaner...it is peroxide based and will remove just about any stain ( some over time and with sun )...and it makes your stitching white...and keeps it white. Great stuff

So when your seats dry out in two years and start cracking call your vinyl guy and tell them Charley sent you. Awesome is a bleach based cleaner and I hope we all know that bleach and vinyl don't mix! If you have a bad stain then will talk spot cleaning carefully. For everyday cleaning and normal dirt/scum ECO friendly all the way.
Where you at Griff? You know you're a wealth of info.

If your seats are in need of a deep cleaning I would use Spray 9 and a Magic Eraser. Once they are clean and I mean clean use the 303 protectant. To keep them clean just wipe them down with a damp towel or a light cleaner like 303 cleaner or some good old soap and water mixture. I guess the biggest thing is just cleaning it after every time out and it will stay like new.

John is right on with using quality products from washing to vinyl care. I'm biased on Vinyl cleaner since I make my own, but it's safe enough to spray in your eyes without making them water or turning red. Vinyl reacts to what you use on it over time, so ECO Friendly all the way. Magic Erasers are great, but not for everyday cleaning. A spot of cleaner combined with a Magic will take care of those hard stains. All-in-one Cleaner & Conditioners tend to leave your seats greasy/slick and most will promote mildew because they tend to trap moisture.
These are before and after with a little elbow grease and products that won't cause long term damage.

They're magic!
It's the abrasive material. The pad is mildy abrasive, but soft enough to not cause scratching if used conservatively. You'll read a post every once in awhile about someone damaging their older vinyl with them because the abrasive is cutting into the seat. You can see it more on older vinyl that's dried out and not as pliable. We use them almost everyday for stubborn stains and they do the job. You can also use them to clean the rubrail and remove dock rash from the hull just remember not to be agressive. A great item for any boater!

Agree with the magic erasers. I keep them on the boat all the time. Work great on the seats.
I vote for the Bio-Kleen they have a two part system that works great!!!!!!

Spray Nine on vinyl.
Here is what I use on the boat to get the water line off and keep a shine. Works great and is less expensive than the 3M products.
