I know I heard some rumblings about the bus and the tickets at the party, so first let me clear a couple things up then I want some feedback.

As far as the tickets: What I was told by the bar was that they would wave the $5 cover and each member would get a special wrist band at the door. Obviously as you found out, unless you got there after 8 pm, they didn't charge a cover that early, and I guess they forgot about the wrist band part. I don't know what will happen with that next year, but we'll have it figured out a little better before we decide on tickets. Sorry for any confusion there.

As far as the bus: All I heard was that the first couple run right at 6 were a little rough, but how did it go after that? Was it worth us renting? Would you recommend we do it again next year? Did you get home safely?

I want next years party to be even better so any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

Although I didn't end up riding the bus, I would chip in for it or some other transportation next year even if I don't ride the bus (it was too big for me, - used to a much shorter bus  ) It's not worth the alternative.

As far as the bar, after what we spent there this year, they ought to wave the cover charge completely next year. But, with service like they provided, I'd pay the $5 cover.

Ditto - Was going to ride the bus, but it was not there at 5:30, it did not arrive until after that, we got anxious, so our non-drinker drove the suburban - first load 6, 2nd load 17 - little over loaded, did not charge a dime... [smilie=071.gif] - Don't remember when or how I got back to the Hotel - Thanks to DB for the pre-party

Great Party all in all. Why coulnt the bar let us hear the video on the first go round the music in it was as good as theirs was? As the night road on I can see them wanting their own audio.

I totally agree. I'm not a rich guy buy even $10 per ticket and put some proceeds in the MWBP bank acct.

Party was great .... $10 worth it
Rode in Taxi to party....rode bus home (the BUS is a must)

Fuel was awesome....A regular dance floor would have been nice & I thought it was hard to mingle with others do to the crowdiness.

I personally would enjoy a more private setting so you could get to know other members....I can go party at fuel any weekend (2 1/2 hour drive) but I can't get to meet MWBP members from Nebraska, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa etc... any weekend.....I felt that I met most of the members at the bbq, stripper pole room or at the bar "Fred Otts?" sat. for lunch. I did meet alot of KC folks at fuel that had nothing to do with MWBP....but will probably be future members!
[smilie=071.gif] Dr. Jeff, Eddie and the whole crew who put this together you did a wonderful job....it was well worth the $10....I would even pay more next year...maybe Fuel would consider a private party!!!! [smilie=071.gif]

Great time!!! I gave my tickets to two females that met up later. At that point there was a line so I talked to a manager and said there were two coming at 10, wrote there names on the tickets and they walked straight in [smilie=1074.gif] Bypassed about twenty more dudes  So after that you would have seen me sucking face with the hot blond and nice uhh [smilie=eck02.gif] eyes

Great time thanks a ton [smilie=050.gif]

We rode the bus home and it was wonderful, [smilie=appl] not to have to worry about driving.
The Fuel was great too, I didn't think they could take care of us, but they sure a he$$ did, and in fine fashion.
I had enough fun to charge twice as much for the tickets, who cares ? Put the extra money towards this great site that keeps us altogether. [smilie=twocents.gif]
And thanks again for those who did all the work, so we could [smilie=dancing.gif]

We took the last bus and thought it was a great idea, well worth it. Driver was nice, knew where she was going and we all got there safely. Not sure what time the last bus was but that's the whole point anyway. [smilie=1062.gif] [smilie=1062.gif]

Why coulnt the bar let us hear the video on the first go round the music in it was as good as theirs was? As the night road on I can see them wanting their own audio.

They are VERY particular about their music, it’s the whole concept that makes them successful. Even so, they might consider it next year if they have the DVD in advance.

I heard a couple of people wishing for a dance floor to go with the music instead of the go next door if you wanna dance annoouncement. But being the big dancer I'm not it don't matter to me.

I discussed that with them and it’s not something they do. They did say we could move around some tables to create a small dance floor but it never happened. I totally forgot about it.

I personally would enjoy a more private setting so you could get to know other members....I can go party at fuel any weekend (2 1/2 hour drive) but I can't get to meet MWBP members from Nebraska, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa etc... any weekend.....I felt that I met most of the members at the bbq, stripper pole room or at the bar "Fred Otts?" sat. for lunch. First off, any place that’s private would cost us a TON about $100 per couple and we’d bust through the alcohol budget by 10:00 pm. Just think of the cost of a wedding reception, not to mention the big uncertainty about who’s going to show up. If we get a ballroom for 200, what happens if 300 show up? If we get a ballroom for 300 and 200 show up we’ve way overpaid.

Second, wedding receptions don’t have the same fun atmosphere, waitresses, tons of TV’s, pool tables and dancing on the bar etc…

Third, having a bar open to the public really helps spread the word.

maybe Fuel would consider a private party!!!!

Probably not, they have to consider the people that pay their bills every other weekend of the year. If we want it 100% MWBP then we can show up with 300 people at 7 pm.

Despite the bus driver not knowing where the bar was and riding around with her 10 year old daughter it was a sucess. The bus was near full going to the bar and half full coming back after midnight.

This place will be nice next year , IF we are close to the same no. of Peeps,
But you can't add 50 to 100 more , or thier will be Blown Bladders all over the place. So although good this year, Anyone know the head count for real. Everyone keep your eyes open. We may sell 400 ticket sales next year. [smilie=appl]

I couldn't believe the guys line to the bathroom was longer than the girls. Either you guys drank more than us or there were more guys than girls there.
The bar was made for us. Right up our alley.
Lets start earlier next year. How about coctail party at 5 w/ video playing and time to talk, then [smilie=dancing.gif]

What Pammy said. A little more open socializing time would be good. Would be nice if wristbands would get you out for air or those wanting to dance next door and back in without a line. I know that's doubtful but bringing three hundred people on a repetive basis should carry some kinda bonus.

Really! I for one went out for air at around 11 and they wanted me to stand in line again. iI argued a little but saw the line and was afraid I'd be lynched.

I have no problems with how things went for us. Very thankful Dr. Jeff that you provided us with a ride. $10 a ticket is nothing when you consider you dont have to drive. The first trip over she was not sure of the place but after 4-5 minutes we all figured it out and it was fine. [smilie=appl] Thanks for the party and we have no complaints about anything other than it sucked the next day driving home.

I have no complaints at all about the weekend. Friday nite the hotel was very lenient on the no party rule. Having transportation is the best idea, and the bar was fun and a good atmosphere. I look like a linebacker doing an endzone touchdown dance, when I do try to dance, so I do not care about a dance floor.

As much good a time as I had all weekend and as much as I enjoy the site, I do not think any of it was not worth every dime spent, especially if the ticket money went back to the site!

1) We make sure Mrs. Big Daddy is in town

2) under no circumstances do we feed eddie red bull vodka when he's already drunk from the boat show.

3) $10 dollar dance with Hot Mom, Kathy, G-Bone, D, Crown w/limes and the rest of the hotties from MWBP to help raise money for the site.

4) Silent Auction on the nicer donated raffles prizes since we had people that just wanted to buy some of them outright.

5) Glen and Kathy have to come or we take all 400 people over by bus and see them.

6) When we find out the new date for the OP show, everyone must block it off so they can attend [smilie=071.gif]

7) Group girl shot - what were we thinking? [smilie=1271.gif]

8) Video guest book at the front door for the 2007 DVD

I also like the suggestion about getting the music off for the DVD, more games, etc.

We think it all worked out great, the hotel was awesome, the bus was a great idea, even though we didn't get to ride it... Didn't know that many people would fit in a Suburban!! [smilie=011.gif] Only thing that might have worked out a little better would be to start the buses a little earlier if we're competing with the locals for seats at the bar. Fuel was awesome party atmosphere, worked out great! Can't wait to do it again next year!! [smilie=dancing.gif]

Jeff I think you did a great job. We didn't ride the bus (since I was not drinking) I think the money was worth it! People got home safe, plenty of room in the bar too! Bathrooms SUCKED... but hey that happens any night your in a crowded bar. The staff was good about checking on the bathrooms (TP)! No complaints here! Way to go on a wonderful night!

I strongly agree with Eddie on these!!! Also, we needed to have a "group guy shot". But would've needed to have 4 or 5 groups to get all members included!

I thought the restroom situation was pretty poor considering the size of bar Fuel is. I told the manager they really needed 3-4 toilets in each instead of just 2. He mentioned that soon, they're hoping to expand into the adjacent building and would definitely have more restroom space if it happens. That would be a major plus next year!!

DJ - I think we should definitely get a bus again next year. Well worth the $.

I also like the idea that Pammy proposed of a 5 PM "social" time where we can all chat before it gets super loud and rowdy. I was so hoarse by 11 PM I could barely talk to anyone - guess I had been trying to yell over Eddie too much when I was selling raffle tix. Would be nice to have a few minutes to visit with folks early on during the evening, then let things get cranked up around 6:30 or so. Just a thought.

Overall, what a GREAT party!!!!!!

The bus rocked! Getting lost on a bus is better than getting lost while driving buzzed!

The bar, well I could take it or leave it. I'd like to actually be able to socialize and find people, not wade through the crowd of locals trying to find the hotties to take pictures of....

Either way I'll be back next year! Thanks for all the hard work everyone!

I think that it was well worth the $$ that we spent, and we would definately spend more on the tickets.
The bus was a great way to not have to worry about getting a ticket for anything.
I agree, the bathroom situation was too much.

Looking forward to next year, hopefully it gets bigger and better!

Thanks to all, for the great time.
