Nope.

They are expecting 800 - 1000 people this year. I think there was some sort of an issue with last years place. They couldnt handle that many people anyway.

So its at 3 different places? How about driving? Is there a shuttle of some sort?

ASH

I am not sure on that one, seems like Butler told me they were all really close to each other.

The Hotel and the Convention Center are across the street from each other and connected by a skywalk. The Bar, where the Hospitality Room will be held at, is only a block away. All within close walking distance.

This post is to let people know that there is room for 960 people. Right now we are at 671. There are still tables that can be reserved (tables seat 8) There will also be tables for those that do not wish to reserve one. Again the party is April 1st. It will be a summer kickoff to what appears to be a fantstic summer.

This a party that is the best around Siouxland.

This is a quick update. We are now up to 728 in ticket sales.
The $30 ticket per person includes the hospitality room (which will have free beer(cans & bottle) and also free food. There will be a cash bar for hard drinks. Also Dale Blue will be entertaining. This 1 to 5 in the afternoon. Then there is a cash bar for the social hour, then a sitdown dinner with the choices as shown on the first post, then a band called Rude Awakening. You can hear some of their songs on their web site. Depends on the river, but it might be open for early boating. There have been a few ask about that from Omaha.
If you need tickets or have any questions, call Dennis at 712-203-0520 or Adam Hoyt at 402-639-9754. This is a party of the year in Sioux City.

Is the hospitality room open all night like last year?
What time does the band play till after dinner?

Shaner44
03-29-2006, 09:31 AM
The hospitality room is not open after the dance. We are having the hospitality room at a local bar. The bar would be to busy to have anything after the dance. The band at the dance will play from 8:30pm - 12:30am and I'm sure their will be a party or two going on at the hotel after the dance.

Yes, Tom Foolerys is the hospitality room. It's a bar about a block away from the convention center. The Boat Club will have the bar from 1:00 to 5:00.

Certainly was a well done party [smilie=1062.gif] Got the chance to meet many of the regulars on this board as well as some new ones. We are planning an overnighter down in Omaha over the summer...will definately need to work that out over a weekend when the you guys aren't in LOTO. maybe we can convince a couple friends to join us on a float down there [smilie=trink39]

Tori and Jessie wanted to see Ash shaving the Beaver, It is rumered that 2 young men attempted to steal this poor critter after the party. They were thwarted by the guards after a short chase, alledgedly. All names are being withheld to protect the inocent.

Iwould like to also thank everybody who attended the MRBC Dry Dock Party. Here are some of the record breaking facts of the party. We had over 650 at the hospitality room at Tom Foolery's, a record, went thru 197 cases of donated beer, a record, next we had 912 people attend the dinner and dance, another record, and last but not least the bar totaled over $ 12,000, a record.

Because of all of you, it was the best Dry Dock Party the Club has ever had and we are already making plans for the party next year, which believe it or not will be even better.

Again thanks to all and also to Eddie who was our official picture taker who did a great job highlighting the party by pictures on Midwest Boat party's forum. Hope to see you all and more next year.
