Ok, it is happening! Last weekend of July, 06'. Looking like most are staying @ Kimberling Inn. You need to get rooms NOW! There are other events happening the same weekend.
I have to get it approved by the powers here, but I'm thinking of T-shirts and a scavenger hunt by boat, along with some pretty cool prizes, food & booze discounts, etc.

Smooth water

Can meet others on the forum
Cons:
None

Also tons of places to tie up/raft up without being bothered by other non-participating boaters.

My cousin has a house on the lake and boats on Table Rock (wake board boat). I might be interested in bringing my boat over there for a weekend. It might not keep up with many of you guys.

Had an open waters scuba certificate taken there.
Awesome waters and very clear back in the middle 80's
Is it still clear water?
btw, way to far to tow the boat :)
that is unless I stop by on the way to Havasu [smilie=071.gif]
JasonSmith
11-29-2005, 10:02 AM
Yea, still very clear. This last season it was probably clearer than I had ever seen it. Had to be at least 12-15 foot visiblility.
I would agree that a pull from MN is a long way, but you have a long time to get there. Start today, if you get there early, just wait us out. It will be a good time, I'll make sure of that.

Yea, I think the last weekend of July is a go. What do you guys & gals want to do? Do we want an offical poker run or do we want a fun run? T-Shirts, Prizes....?
I've been in contact with a few folks down there & they are on board for some freebies/give away stuff.

do not care, just want to have some fun. [smilie=trink39]

JasonSmith
12-20-2005, 03:06 PM
Ok, there is a Cobalt Regatta the last weekend of July. Lodging will be a problem if you don't schedule early.
Cobalt typically has a short poker run, 5 miles or so that starts about 10:00 am and ends with a picnic at 2:00.
I don't see a problem with having our deal that weekend. It might even get some more attention/participation due to the Cobalt deal.
I'll work on some stuff. Stay tuned

If anyone is interested, there is a house in my neighborhood for rent. http://www.accessresorts.com/View.asp?Link=http%3A%2F%2Ftablerocklake%2Eus%2Fst oneypoint&PropertyID=1917&Cat=Lodging+%2D+Vacation+Homes&page=1
It is a nice house and has some limited lake views, close to the launch ramp also.
I have a 24' slip with lift that I can "rent" if needed. Need to keep it on the down low, the dock ASSociation don't like me renting it, but you would be "borrowing" it.

The way I see it you have 2 options.
1- Reschedule, you know it will be a better time in July.
2- Take your vacation, as planned, and just wait us out. We will be there!
I'm not sure I'll be there in June. Usually I'm there every-other weekend, but I may leave my boat here this season.
Check back often, this thing is gathering steam.

BajaBrian - What and where is the TBM Baja Run
Just a run on LOTO w/ the guys from teambajamarine.com site. Starts at BTM, then up to Big Dicks, over to Shooters, then on to PC. After that, back to BTM for BBQ & drinks. I think next year they were going to hit some other cove for people that dont want the sites of PC, while others can make their way to PC.

Traditionally BTM customer appreciation day is the second weekend in July. You MUST be a BTM customer to participate.

Traditionally BTM customer appreciation day is the second weekend in July. You MUST be a BTM customer to participate.
JMS - Agree Bob has been having the Customer Appreciation day the second or 3rd week of July with Baja as sponsor now for the past two years. Hopefully the Table Rock Colbalt Regatta will not be the same weekend....I am going to call him and find out. I am confused on the two different Baja Runs - so right now Morgan (BTM) we do not know for sure which weekend it is. The TBM in a different run correct ?
Someone Please confirm:
Team Baja - Loto TBM - Expected Date - ?
Big Thunder - Loto BTM - Expected Date -?
I confused [smilie=****sakes.gif]
Correct Lakerat, The (BTM) Big Thunder Marine customer appreciation run and BBQ are completely different events from the (TBM) Team Baja Marine event.
Last year both events happen to fall on the same weekend. To participate in the BTM event you must be a BTM customer (boat buyer). The TBM event is open to all Baja owners who register. Last year we participated in the TBM get together (fun run, PC, and BBQ), but since we are not BTM customers we couldn't participate in their event. To avoid confusion TBM planned their event later this year to prevent overlap.

I have a 9'6" x 60' dirt floor storage stall in Shell Knob that I keep my 29 Outlaw in. I also have a friend who has a storage building that is double nice. Brand new, concrete floors 10' wide doors. You can also rent slips @ Campbell Point Marina, Kimberling City, Baxter Boat dock & State Park Marina. Campbell Point offers a put-in service and they rent stroage also. Let me know what I can do to help.

Before we have a "Summer Event Meeting" we need to discuss all the possibilities, and place them on a calendar, then we can provide a list of events for the summer to the group once the group has a chance to review, then we can decide the when and where [smilie=071.gif] [smilie=trink39] - At the present time, I know that I am going to the LOTO - Shoot Out 8/25/26/27/28 as well as the Table Rock Party (7/28/29/30). The week-end at Table Rock does sound fun! Is anyone bringing their kids? We have a 13 yr old boy and 10 year old girl. Let me know if anyone is bringing kids and before we make a reservation some where, maybe share a place as usual with Super V and family. [smilie=trink39]

Last time we were at Table Rock (3 years ago) the water was clear and it's a nice lake, but there wasn't much to do on the water ie: clubs, resturants, etc. Has it changed much? I know Cove Marine is down there and you could go by and say hello to Spanky - he use to work at BTM.

Hi All,
I'm Ken Foster, who puts on the "TableRock Roost" each year for the LBBA. We have all kinds of boats come each year, and we all have a great time sipping a few, running our boats, and telling a few lies! lol
It would be great to see all of you make it down this year! It's really family oriented, and more just a get-together than anything.
It will be held this year June 22-24. Maybe that might fit in with your plans for a Tablerock run!

Well then Howdy Neighbor! That white boat is mine, and it was taken right by my Brothers dock. Ours is the little square swim dock with the diving board across the cove from you. He just bought the house (right before Christmas) to the left of the boatramp there. We also own some property up in the other end of that little community.
Look forward to meeting you this summer!

Hey look Jason. ANOTHER Ford Guy (Ken F) and he's a tablerocker at that. Getting to be more and more around here.
The guy that bought one of my old drag race motors sent me a pic. He changed from the fabbed blower intake to a tunnel ram for some reason [smilie=WTF.gif]
2000hp from 486ci
A460 block, 4.530 bore 3.77 stroke, venolia rods & pistons,
the motorsport A-460 heads Have been ported on pretty good,
It came with a homemade steel intake, but I swapped that out with a trickflow A-460 tunnel ram that I welded a blower top on, drysump oiling system. The blower is a Littlefield 14-71 high helix with the delta opening running 46% overdrive.

Jason, it's all good. They are just two completly different kinds of boats.
Mine is really a 1/4 mile boat, but have it set up for lake use, and carry 48 gallons of fuel most of the time. Big water doesn't really bother me as long as I can maintain 50 mph or so-below that kind of becomes a kidney buster.

Not as much iron as you think. There's a few good chunks of aluminum in there too. The Boss only makes 1040hp with NO huge split carbs or nothing NHRA ProStock legal so a little nitrous would go a long way. It only went 7.70's. In 1988!

ChillinDeeMost, Dan and Dee, and my wife and I spend a week at Tablerock every summer. Last three years we have been renting a condo at Ozark Mountain Condos just across the Kimberling City bridge. Dee found a Tablerock Lake website several months ago, but it is not very active. Check it out:

I don't know why you couldn't stay on your boat. Kimberling City is probably a better bet for staying on a boat, however Campbell Point can accomodate you as well. Kimberling is nicer & closet to civilization than Campbell.

Hey all,
Just joined to check out what's going on in the "Boat Party" world and saw your event. I haven't read through every one of the 13+ pages to see if a date has been formally set. Do you have a date and itinerary set? Is anyone sponsoring this event for freebies and such? I visit the Table Rock area quite a bit and would like to join you all for some fun. Gimme the details and I'll see what I can do to make it. [smilie=042.gif]

It's been so long, i forgot the date myself! Actually i believe its 7/27-7/30. But for us working folks, i think we will make it down sometime fri afternoon & hit it hard sat & sun.
As for sponsors, none that i know of except MWBP. I know Jason was workin on seeing if he could score some shirts & stuff, but i havent heard any updates. Wouldnt be free, but probably cheap momentos.

Everything a person needs to know is in the very 1st post....I think.
Free stuff is VERY slow in comming. Throttle Up promised some stuff, but have not gotten anything from them yet.
I think the "best bet" will be discounted booze & food from the local haunts. I'm going on a recon mission this next week.
Looking foward to seeing everyone there. It may not be fancy, but it will be fun!

I've never been to Table rock. How "Small of a boat can safely make it?" We have a 20 foot maxum, much to small for LOTO. Is table rock similar? (meaning need a 28 ft. plus boat to get around on the weekend?)

You will LOVE Table Rock. The smoothest at LOTO is about as rough as TR gets in the bad spots (Branson & Kimb City). The water is much cleaner also. We only have a 23' & very rarely do i have to get out of the throttles at TR. At LOTO i thought we were going to die. The majority of the boats are around our size. While there are some cruisers, not nearly as many as what LOTO has. Its a great lake.

One of the couples in our group owns condo's in Branson so we usually launch by Campbell Point Marina. We won't be far from you in Kimberling but Shell Knob is at the other end of the lake. I would probably drag my boat closer for tie up down there. Even though its not LOTO that's a long haul from the dam in a 22ftr!
There is a great cove close to Kimberling we like to anchor at. It's private and we are usually the only ones there.

Brian,
I think we are bringing a 550 stand up with us, if we get the house boat in a cove close to the swings and KC and you were going to go run you could always just tie it up to the HB and get it when you come back!
