To all in the KC, Lawrence and Topeka area:
Let's get together for dinner and drinks! [smilie=trink39]
Where: Tanner's in Lawrence at 1540 Wakarusa
When: Saturday, December 3rd from 6:30 - whenever
Why: the price of gas is down, we miss each other, to console one another in the off-season, it's the holidays, to drink, to toast and be merry! AND MOST OF ALL, because you won't have to look at Guitar Man in his red, white and blue bikini swim suit anymore this year! :shock:
There is a KU basketball game that night starting at 7pm, so the bar will be pretty busy. A few of us will get there early to save tables, but the more that arrive early, the better!

Carrie-baby is right. The KU game is at 7:05, and will be over at 9:15. You can say good bye, pay your tab and leave by 9:30 and be parked in Westport by 10:30. Perfect timing. Your only worry is driving after leaving Westport.

If we would have left our house 1 hour ahead of schedule, we would've missed the snow. It just wasn't safe to head out, it snowed pretty good here. We managed to get some good shopping in, though, and a little [smilie=trink39] [smilie=alc] , too.
Come to find out, I also stood-up some other (old high school) friends last night - I guess we talked about getting together over 3 weeks ago. I never heard another word about it, and, well, guess I forgot............how can I be expected to remember?! Our social calandar has been out of control lately [smilie=061.gif]
We did get to help our friend Heidi celebrate her (first) 29th birthday, so that was cool :mrgreen:

When things calmed down, a few of us went over to Slow Ride, where a band from Sturgis was playing good ol' 80's rock (AC/DC, Jackyl, Guns & Roses, etc). Good dancin music. That's Carrie, Ron, Lisa & Mikey G. pictured.
