We will be there with about 4 other boats. I think we will put the boat in at Riverside around 10 that morning. We went last year and had a blast.

We will be there. I am stealing my Dad's pontoon for the day and going to load it up with drinks and people. It is a Landu?? with a purple top. We will not make it there until about 2pm. Been and member for a little while just don't say much. We usually boat a above the Winfield lock, it is much smoother up there.

Kinders is fun and it's even better when you are in someone elses boat, their docks suck!
Just talked to Gator Fan and he said he's going to be on the water by 10 at Riverside and I beleive we are going to try to shoot for that as well. As soon as you find out let us know.

Could......? Didn't you see the disclaimer on the flyer, spare liver required [smilie=071.gif]
Just kidding, but I will say this, these folks always seem to have thousands of jellos shots being served to you by women in bikins all day (who can turn that down) so it is a good idea to pace yourself. Ms. Bradman learned that lesson the hard way two years ago. She hit the wall about 6 p.m. and I had the boat on the trailer and we were pulling out of the marina before she realized she was not on the boat anymore [smilie=1271.gif] I ended up sitting in my driveway the rest on the night calling both the people I know trying to get someone to go back out with me (loser  ) In her defense though, we did drink 3 bottles of Champagne that day before we really got going.
We will show you the way though, I'll give you a hollar tomorrow or Thursday to work out the logistics

Not a problem. I don't know if I'll be boating or taking the jet ski yet. If I take the ski, I'll put in at South Shores and meet you at Riverside.

If anybody goes out Thursday night can we get a river report on Friday. I don't think it came up much. Work is crazy this week and I don't have much time to get away from the office. Can't wait for the weekend [smilie=1062.gif] [smilie=eck02.gif]

They are going to mark the way in with milk jugs but it's still going to be pretty shallow so watch your depth finder

Here is the latest as far as getting to the party:
The channel markings are in place for Jamaica Daze on Saturday August 20. Enter at the lower end of Two Branch Island. Stay between the island and the markers and you should have at least 4 feet of water all the way back to the beach. This should definitely be a NO WAKE ZONE!! When you get to beach, the water is very shallow around the beach (just like Shell Island). It would be a great idea if boats would anchor together and in rows. Park out from the beach and walk in. Don't forget your chicken quarters, ears of corn in the husk and bring a side dish. See ya Saturday.

As a newbie in these parts, what's the river going to be like after some of this rain? Should I just all my insurance agent now and make a claim or wait until I actually hit something??? Is anybody going out tonight?

Here is a map to the festivities, the arrows point out where they have marked the channel. Word has it that it is still pretty shallow. Please remember that this area is no wake as well.

I don't know if I would. I wiped mine down last night but did not "officially" wash it as no hose was involved.
Looks like they moved the r**n up to scatered storms in the morning and partly cloudy in the afternoon, which is good news.
See ya in the a.m.

What a blast!!! Although the details are a little fuzzy right now, it was a great time on the river yesterday. I want to thank Bradman, the Shallow Minded's, and everyone else that was out there for a great day.
We tied up in about 3ft of water, sandy bottom, great weather --
