I 'm starting this thread cause of the overwhelming pm's about blenders and inverters...

Powered (AC) blenders are as of right now are my best option but i know you all have a favorite blender that you can show us...My current blender is a hamilton beach $13.99 purchased at Wallmart (what...why you say) Cause when they start smokin' you just throw them away!!!!

1) This is my soon to be modified Gas blender that blew a drive shaft in LOTO on Memorial Day..It is gonna be Hell Ya!'s New winter thread....

2) the second pic is bradmans blender he cranked it up at LOTO during our MN vacation it was interesting to say the least but very cost efffective and conserved batteries and gas I would have to call it the treehugger special!!!

What the heck, here is ours... 12v cig lighter type. It's not the most powerful in the world, but crushes ice good enough for a brain freeze blender poison on the water. Combined with the new boat this year, with the new grill, we're ready to rock!

I have just recently heard of the most perfect blender for making things such as frozen margaritas, etc...but it might be more suited as a dock mounted device.

If I build it, I will post pics....it is made with a garbage disposal.

The blender pictured above is a Waring Pro. It works great with the bagged ice, and will get you there with home made deep freeze stuff, but takes a wiggle to get started.

Here is a link to more 12v whatever you could want.

and for even more, try this search:

Do you mean garbage disposal blenders like this? A buddy here in town builds and sells them. Sells alot at the NASCAR races. People come from the year before and buy more.

I've got one almost identical for under $10.00 -- it won't crush ice, but it mixes alright.

For $650, you could almost strap a blade onto an AquaScooter!!!!!!!

I'm a little slow in this thread...but a timely one for me! We are looking for a blender for the boat. Been wanting a gas powered one, but seems like it could be a PITA from gasoline and oil, etc. Plus they are pretty pricey.

What is the preference, elec. vs. gas?

D/B....could you post some links on those cool gas powered blenders? 'Bout the only ones I have seen are in the back of Hotboat rag.

I need an ice crushing Sumbiotch for Marg and Daq's! Hmmmmm.....I'm feeling the DT's comin on

Sorry to revive an old thread, but summer is right around the corner. Has anyone tired one of these??? It would be a great thing to keep in the truck for a pinch since I always have my cordless drill in the back tool box...

I made a couple of these a while back:

http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n127/xj6in/Man-der%20II/100_5395.jpg

But it takes a fortune to load them up, get them going, and you need a small army to empty it by the end of the night... but I did learn that bigger HP is not always better when it comes to G-D mixers, I think the key is RPM's for these things...

Thanks in advance...

The company I work for makes the Margaritaville shaved ice frozen concoction makers- we are coming out with a new model that is exactly like the AC models except is 18 Volt DC that makes ~ 40 pitchers per charge...[smilie=trink39]

Should be in stores by Summer. You can find it currently on Frontgate.
