Sounds like a great time, however just as last weekend Calley and I will be out of town on Saturday. We will be at the lake for Sunday festivities though. Hopefully their will be a good crowd Sunday. Had a great time again yesterday with everyone. Dinner was excellent!

Bob - there are a couple B&B's near Perry (within 5-10 mins) and also a guest house. If you would like their numbers, PM me.

The number for the Perry Marina is 785-597-5555 and they do rent out slips for the night - I think the cost is $15-25 a night. They have modest bathrooms out there, too, and a decent restaurant and bar (which we will most likely be visiting Sat. night after boating). :lol:

We plan to be on the water by 12:15 or 12:30 Saturday - we'll put in at the State Park ramp off Hgwy 237 (west side of the lake). Hope you can join us! [smilie=071.gif]

Then you probably know Tim (My Prozac - Spectra).....he comes to Perry a lot now, but used to be a Smithville reg.

Yes, there are a lot of boats at Perry on a good weekend - they have a very nice party cove area, out of the wind for the most part. We always have a great time out there! Lots of performance boaters there.

There are 2 full-service marinas there and at least 5 boat ramps to choose from - give it a try and look for us out there (Hot Pursuit Baja). [smilie=042.gif]

Still pushing for making it out Saturday. As of today, I still need to...
- fix starborard outdrive to resevoir hose
- change drive oil (x2)
- re-install the water intake hoses (x2)
- replace front fuel tank thru-hull vent
- change oil & filter (x2)
- change distributor cap & rotor (x2)
- give it a good cleaning

OH, and, last but definitely not least, drop by the bank, take out a loan and go buy approx. 100 gal of fuel.

If I can't get everything done, it may be Sunday before we make it out.

Anyone wanna come help wrench on the ole Cig Friday evening?

I have never been on lake Perry but would like to check is out. Is there a lot of boaters hang out there. We always go to Smithville.

Outlaw, Perry has about 5 times more boatable water than Smithville and more hot boats these days and a bigger partycove. Also you don't have the harrasing MO Water Patrol. If you come out head west out of Lawrence on 24 hwy and go north on Fergeson road in Perry. The best ramp is by the dam at Perry Marina. Also it's 3 bucks to launch unlike Smithville's 15.

Not a bad concept, but actually the boat is a deep navy blue. I like the twist on something with smokin' or cigs in general. Never have been much of a smoker though. Boat's is named "Blew Money" and I think I'll keep it.

Mike- No MM at Perry, just go to Perry Yacht and Marina, by the dam, and the "Party Cove" is just around the bend under the bridge to the right. You'll know what I mean when you're there! Hey gang, As it turns out our boat didn't get fixed like we planned!!! I (We) thought it was just a U-Joint Bellows, but it turns out it was the Y tube on the silent Choice. Not a real "Hard" fix, just time consuming ($$$) one motor has to be pulled. I'm debating on going down to LOTO drangin' it back and fixin' it myself, or just bite the bullet and pay for it.

Anyway, I have a Funeral in the morning but, keep a look out for the CAMO 'TOON!!! :shock: I may surprise all of you by showing up!!! :lol:

Or maybe Sunday afternoon I have a Trap Shoot to go to in the morning.

If I make it I'll be decked out in the appropriate attire for a CAMO 'TOON (Cut off's and a sleeveless camo shirt) :mrgreen: [smilie=hah] [smilie=crazy]

I had to do the same thing a few months ago - changed the bellows and it was still leaking. Y pipe was the problem.
