View Full Version : Finally...the Lake is coming
Well, I was supposed to already be on vacation at LOTO but I have been absolutely slammed at work [smilie=106.gif] . I have had one large emergency disaster after another (water main breaks, broken pipe's, mold remediation jobs...you name it) Me, Mrs. SWEETPEA and the Jakester will be heading to the lake in the morning towing SWEETPEA and staying until Sunday afternoon or evening [smilie=071.gif] Can't wait for some R&R and fun on the water. I have plans to finally make it to Frankie & Louie's at some point among other destinations. Anything interesting going on this weekend? I'll be at Harbour Towne by the dam...might hook up with our friends at 19mm by Evergreen Cove in their Sea Ray or vice versa at some point. Anyone having any informal dock gatherings...I might have a few solo boat runs since my wife is almost 8 months pregnant with our second son and we'll have our 15 month old son with us. She might go shopping while Daddy goes for a boat ride

cool Jeff, good to hear your making it out! well probably head down friday nite or saturday early A.M. well most likely cove out at nite in the boat, or stay in a slip at PB2,
if we do go! well be at frank and louie's saturday evening for dinner [smilie=061.gif]
Well, We've been at the lake since about 3 p.m. Put in at Berger's and cruised around the corner to Harbour Towne. We just took a cruise around the dam up into Bergers cove then up to about 6mm. This was my soon to be 16 month old son's first time in SWEETPEA! He was pretty tired...he cried about half the time then laughed and jumped up and down the other half. He definitley liked it better with the exhaust OPEN [smilie=071.gif] The lake would have been like glass, but it is very windy and thus choppy! Still got going to about 54 mph which is good for SWEETPEA [smilie=1074.gif] . Hey Heath, I think we are going to eat dinner at Frankie and Louie's on Saturday too. How the heck do you get there by land????????????????? What else is going on this weekend or week [smilie=eck02.gif] ? Anyone? Anyone? Buehler? Buehler?

F&L's by land....
Get to the Laurie side of the lake on Hwy. 5 and take 5-41 until you hit it....5-41 is not far from where you come out on 5 if you take the toll bridge. You would need to head right (north) on 5 if you take the toll bridge.

good deal Jeff! [smilie=061.gif] sounds like your having a good time, well make it to frank and louies around 6 or 7 pm! im guessing at that, it really depends on how hard we party thru the day! [smilie=1062.gif] we will probably go by boat, unless its too late well go by land! and sunday well head to millers landing around 8 or 9 pm, depending on how late we party on saturday nite, [smilie=1062.gif]

Well guys went to Dock Nockers for dinner tonight. Got a front spot...but the service was slow. They apparently had a much bigger crowd than normal for a Wednesday  I was waiting in line at the bar at least half the time I was there [smilie=106.gif] The food was good and the people working were doing there best...they were just understaffed! These places need a back up plan for calling in additional employees or something. There was one bartender and he was killing himself [smilie=whip] We were there with a group of about 13 people including kids and I tipped well as usual...I would have been much happier if the service would have been faster though [smilie=schla08.gif]

i hope to be down late sat night will see hoo a round. later jc ps julz is working friday at smoked on the water 3.5 mm gravois arm stop by for lunch or drinks, [smilie=042.gif]
Took a cruise up the Gravois Arm this afternoon...went up past Time Out Bar & Grill then back to the main channel. Then, I finally found and ventured to Frankie & Louie's around 2 p.m. and got gas and checked the place out briefly [smilie=1074.gif] The dock/gas attendant took good care of me and was very easy on the eyes  The gas prices were not too bad either. I plan on going there for dinner tomorrow night. It was definitely a very unique place unlike any other bar and grill I've been to at the lake. Seemed like being at a little beach/bar get away somewhere...it was nice not having ridiculous waves coming in! Went for a cruise with my wife and son back up the Gravois Arm and anvchored out and swam. My soon to be 16 month old son had a good time and is starting to dig this boating thing [smilie=071.gif] Oh yeah, saw Zombie cut across the front of us out of a cove near the Hawaiian Island...nice boat and Suhweet rooster tail [smilie=appl] I'm gonna have to take a ride in that rig sometime. Also ran into my two bosses earlier today at their new condo by Glencove (Wild & Scuba)! Wild has a sweet 38 Cig f2 & Scuba has a Formula 400 SS  I'll be riding in those soon [smilie=071.gif] Probably will be in Evergreen Cove tomorrow and Frankie & Louie's for Dinner! I've had a great lake trip so far
