It's settled. We're gonna be back at LOTO on Friday, 7/22. We had such a great time last time and we are looking forward to another MWBP spectacular weekend!
One question: PB2 was a great place to launch and stay, but the facilities weren't the best. The Nauti Rogue is fun, but weekends on her are a cross between camping and a reeeeeeaaaallly cheap hotel room. Anybody have any suggestions for a marina that has nicer facilities?
Thanks!

Dave Mungenast Yacht Club by the Grand Glaize Bridge has really nice bathrooms and showers. They are a relatively new facility. They charge $32.00 per night for a 12X32 slip plus tax. Ask for Dave Anderson he is the harbor master there. There phone number is 573-302-8000. They wont let you use there ramp but you can unhook and they will launch your boat for you with a tractor. I think there launch fee is $10.00. The last time I was there they didn't charge me a launch fee because I was renting a slip for the weekend. They seem to be very easy to work with. Hope you have as good of an experience there as I have. [smilie=042.gif]

Hey, PM! Thanks for the info. I liked PB2's convenient location to PC, so your suggestion sounds like a good alternative location-wise.
Thanks for the heads-up and we'll check it out.

Mungenast would definitely be worth checking into. They have a convenient location and the facilities are nice. When we stayed at Mungenast we just launched at PB2 and left our truck and trailer parked there for the weekend.

Mungenast it is. I musta caught her on a good day because she's told me that the $32 includes launch and parking.
As for Mrs. DocJimm's drinking problem, she may need to lend us a hand if she's got it figured out. We need this trip to LOTO!
BTW, is the area of PC where we were a couple weeks ago the "normal MWBP spot?" For some reason, I had the impression that was not your usual.

We were considering a 'quiet' weekend - but it's only Tuesday and I'm ready again.
I suppose we'll have to prepare for another Saturday in PC!

And I want to say THANKS to you and your lovely bride for letting me cool off in your boat Sat. night when I was about to pass out from the heat. That was our 10th straight day of boating & I couldn't drink enough water if I tried. I think I was sweating it off as fast as I was drinking it. Right back at ya with YOU guys are simply the Best!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd also like to thank Mr. & Mrs. Meyerwrench for the orange juice. It was a nice change from water & I think it definitely helped that night.

Since we didn't make it last weekend, we're going try the bar hopping in the 31+ mile marker area this weekend.

It rained in Party Cove for about an hour Sat. afternoon, then we decided to leave about 4:30 PM since it hadn't quit. I wasn't aware there was any severe weather, thought it was just light rain and a little wind. Was there worse nearby?

Yeah much...we were in 31 mile cove and decided to make a run for it, as the kids were getting nervous. I rained pretty hard on the way back to the 43, but just as I was getting lined up to dock a staight line wind came thru and I had to abort (like I had a chioce, I was two docks over in abut 5 secs.) Made it on the second attempt.
