It's that time of the year again guys!!!

The annual Rat Rally will be held on the first Friday in May (6th) as always. It’s a rather unorganized first run of the year covering most of Pool 4. It’s a great time and like always men only (seriously!). Generally groups of boats will have breakfast together on the water. Then everyone will meet up on North Point Peninsula, near Lake City, MN (generally 50-80 boats). Then we stop at various bars on the water. If anyone is unfamiliar with this run and would like to attend shot me a PM

All joking aside. This run has been going on longer than I've been alive. There are some old timers that have been doing it for 20 plus years. I personally love the run and can't imagine starting the year without it.

It is official the PowerQuest will be sitting this one out, riding on my buddies 29 outlaw instead. There will also be a new (to Parkside Marina) 02 36 outlaw this year. Should be making its debut on the Rat ~ Maybe I'll thumb a ride on that boat instead [smilie=071.gif]

His name is Eric and he frames houses for a living. Used to have a 272 baja with a single 502 mag. sold it last summer. You may remember him from the Liquid Jungle or Rat Rally he rode with Keith on the 29 Fountain (Grey and Black)

no but I have seen it on the croix several times it is a beautifull boat but a little under powered. I think thas why the owner wants to sell..not sure though he was extreamly pissed when i passed him in my 280 with 5 people on it!!

Well the sea trial went flawless (except the cold weather) and the rig has landed in Rochester. What a beautiful boat the cockpt is huge!

He is also concerned that it is under powered however he's going to run it for a year before he beefs it up. Something about being under warrenty [smilie=071.gif]

i just picked up my 36 from storage and will let you guys know how blue motors work in a week or so!!

We aren't that high tech. We are luck to be able to drink a beer and talk on a cell phone at the same time. Much less use a computer while boating. :mrgreen:

Boat test went OK last night
Tab worked great. Still need to do alot of testing since I lost the water intake hose and impellar :(
Guess I should have double checked the hose clamps from my winterization last fall :(

Who knows. I've been back to GRH by 5 and other times it's been dark and we still haven't locked through. Depends on the mood. Usually we try to be locked through before dark. But sometimes it hard to pull way from the PARTY at the pioneer. You don't have to stay with the group, you can head back whenever you feel like it.
