It's a good time, but the weather doesn't always work out in May - condos, resorts, public beach, Motels, etc are a few of the places people stay.

The last few that we have done, we try to hit the bars that we have never heard of to try some new places and it's a six hour drive for us.

We did that @ the Fall Harbor Hop. Met @ one of the members awesome dock for a few drinks too. We have participated in a few of the Missiouri River poker runs without a "convoy." Doing it with one is definitely a blast!!!!

Starla and I are leaving for TX Friday morning. If it is in the shape the guy says it is in we will be towing it back on Saturday and Sunday. We are going to splash it on Saturday.

Don't worry about keeping up. It has twin 454's 310hp. I would imagine it is a low to mid 60's boat, but I was wanting a little better ride. I don't have a chance to air a boat out much since the kids are with us most of the time, so speed was not the top priority.

Looking forward to hitting the water. We are going to have to try F&L this year.

Hooligan Bay is around 38. I believe Heron Bay is closer toward the Grand Glaize. I know I've seen someone here who stays there. Hooligan Bay is a bar; Heron a condo. Big Dicks in around the 46-48 mm.

Heron Bay is right next door to the left of Dorseys Pit Stop. Shooters 21 is just upstream out in the channel, Ledges is just down stream toward the dam in the channel. Butt Cheese lives on the other side of Dorseys Pit Stop.

Relax, "Danielson!" Aside from my husband, I have never seen anybody so anxious to get plans finalized. I suppose you were one of those students in school that started a research paper the day it was assigned, (that was due a month later) and finished it the next day. :roll:

Saturday Plan for Hop open. Do we want to run as a group? Meet for breakfast or cocktails first or ? Where does everyone want to run ? Gravois Arm or ? and end up at F & L's ?

We always try to just make general plans, when your on lake time. ALL IS GOOD.

How about this for a plan--If the weather is good, everyone should meet @ F & L's after doing the harbor hop on Sat. If the weather is bad, F & L's all day.

We had a good time at F&L's all day last year.

Here is a thought, how about a Poker Run within a Poker run. For example, we all meet at F & L's in the a.m. and have a cocktail or two. Everyone that wants, throw 5 bucks in a hat and head out. Since it seems that the plan is to return to F & L's at the end of the day. Best hand for that day gets half and worst hand gets half. Big Dicks Lunch Run Friday -- Meet in cove at 17mm (same cove as Port Arrowhead Marina) Meeting time 11:00am, leave cove 11:15-11:30 for Big Dicks. If you need directions or ???? call 402-740-1162

We ran in the fog and rain last year in June. We did have problems though leaving Franky and Louie's around midnight. Could not see anything. Baja Pit had to come and find us at 3 am. Did not have any gps. Hope to have no problems this year if it rains and gets foggy. Bought this a few weeks ago.

Got a small flat screen so it wont take up too much room, and can hang out of the way. I could buy a 120v cheeper than a 12v , luckily i have an inverter........ I think it will work out, at least we will see.
