Hawkeye Boat's Poker Run on the Mississippi River, I think several members have gone to this and said they had a great time.

Wish it wasn't on the same day as the Wilbus Run - Most of the MWBP gang will be at that one [smilie=106.gif] including me I hope!

If you get to DBQ, make sure you spend an evening dining at Timmerman's Supperclub up on the hill in East DBQ. Great food and Great views of the Mississippi river valley below.

If you are coming to Dubuque for the Poker run, let me know. I will be having a get together. We could party it up and have our own little MWP.

Clothing optional, of course.

How many boats do they have in that run?

We are thinking of heading that way for the river museum with the kids. Has anyone been there?

Don

We stay at the Midway Motor Lodge.

They have a large enough parking lot
for all the trucks and trailers.

We'll be there

Would like to, but its on a Friday and FedEx does not allow individual days off in the summer. Has to be full weeks. [smilie=101.gif] [smilie=106.gif]

Doesn't really matter what time of the year. If there are 2 others booked for the week, I'm screwed. Winter time is easy to get a day, but looking outside you can see why. [smilie=265.gif]

As far as sick days go, we have none. Call in sick and it not only goes unpaid, but goes in your personel file for a year. Sucks ... but I've been saying that for 20 years. [smilie=106.gif] [smilie=106.gif]

Marked on the calendar.

Maybe something will work out, but I hate to take a whole week for one day so early in the summer. I have Loto to plan this year! [smilie=071.gif] [smilie=071.gif]

Hey Jeff,

Got your call today. Sorry about not being able to call you back. Haven't had a lunch hr for 3 days and have been on the phone inbetween customers trying to get 61 to reschedule my boat again.

I remember calling Hawkeye last year and having them tell me the same thing. Believe it or not, I was told I wasn't welcome even though I still had the boat I bought from them the May before. They knew I had ordered the 30 by then and told me not to bother coming. [smilie=450.gif]

Seems like more and more dealers are doing customer days/with the poker runs and excluding potential customers, doesn't make sense to me - it's not my $$$ on the table so I guess they don't owe us any explanations.

In Omaha the Poker Runs are open to everyone [smilie=042.gif] not everyone has that Midwest attitude. [smilie=042.gif]
