I was at the lake last weekend and we were catching them shallow under my dock which is in deep water on minnows. It was one after another even on the same dead minnow but they were all small except for one keeper. They are there and probably a little further out but we were just wasting time and did not really care about keeping them. GOOD LUCK

On the Gravois, the crappie were at their prime 2 weeks ago; caught a lot of nice ones. Now I'm catching smaller ones out in 8 foot of water.

there a little harder to catch up here we dont have cruisers rolling them up on the shore [smilie=crazy]

Caught 22 today. All were full of eggs, so the spawn isn't necessarily over. They seem to be 6' - 10' down. Good day today :D

The minnows are thick on the fishing lights now, should be great crappie soon. The fish are on the lights but still a little small.

talked to several fishermen last weekend at marina said the crappie were biting around the docks and brush 6-10ft deep.
