What do you guys like to smoke with? I start out with lump and usually go to oak or mulberry if I can find it. Wife doesn't like the harsh flavor of hickory and misquite. I'll toss in abit of hickory from time to time but maily go with oak.
Apple turns out really good. Give it a shot sometime.

I have used apple and cherry. But since I don't have a orchard close then I stick with oak as it is handy. We heat the house in the winter with 90% wood heat so I usually have some wood laying around.
I generally use apple. cherry or pecan.

Apple and/or pecan mostly. I finally got ahold of some apricot to try soon. Since good smoking wood is kind of hard to come by for me I generally try to just use it for the smoke and use lump charcoal for the heat.

Hickory, pecan and apple - in both hardwoods and pellets
Hickory, apple and cherry are my favorites. I have also used mulberry once which was pretty good also.

Mesquite,Hickory is great with beef or pork! Apple is great for poultry! If the wife doesnt like the deep smoke just smoke it for a short while then wrap your meat up in aluminum foil to keep all the juices in!!!!

Where do you get your fuel from?
(was going to ask "where do you get your wood", but it just didn't sound right)
