I would like to hear the opinions of our members who are in the medical field regarding umbilical cord blood preservation.

Where do you see it in a few years?
Is it just a bunch of hype?

I would just like to see some discussion from people who are exposed to this in their career field. From what I have researched it looks like a good bet.

I having been buying CBAI stock over the past several weeks. This is an OTC stock so naturally you don't want to invest anymore than you can afford to lose. It closed yesterday at .0091, I would like to dump some more money in it. I look at it like this, every grand you put in it gains you just over 100,000 shares right now. Nauti Nemo just spent that much on a Vegas trip for us, was that a good investment?

From what I have been hearing on this it is projected to be a $15 to $20 per share stock within 10 years.

Take this advise for what it's worth (VERY LITTLE). My wife and I did alot of research into cord blood preservation when she was pregnant. She had alot of complications, so we thought it may be a good thing to do. This was 6 years ago so I'm sure things have changed. Her doctors at Washinton University didn't think it was worth the investment. I think they told us only a couple times ever could their cord blood be used for themselves or each other. We have twins. So we decided it was not worth the cost.
As far as that penny stock goes. It can tank just as fast as it can go up. Buy a quality stock. I buy and sell stock daily, and I have bought one penny stock ever (MDCE) it would have been golden if the health care would have passed. I sold it the day Kennedy's seat was replaced with a Republican. Luckily it was still up a little.
As far as that projection goes, that is probably a projection made by something like pennystockuniversity or something like that.

What was the cost? If you didn't have twins would you have given it more consideration?

When my sisters two younger kids 1 and 4 were born she said the Drs really encouaged storage. Is there something in it for the Drs to push it?

I mentioned having twins because I think there is a better chance that one of the girls cord blood could be used for the other, and we still opted out.

we looked into it with the first one 2 1/2 yrs ago. It was around 2500 and 100-250 per year to store it. We thought it was a good idea since i lost my brother to cancer at a young age and we were lucky my other brother was a match for bone marrow. I asked a few doctors and they all said, "if you can afford it and you will sleep better then do it, but I do not recommend it to my patients.
