MAKE A NEW’S YEARS RESOLUTIONFOR PEAK PROP PERFORMANCE
BBLADES Offers

Boater’s can start the New Year right by having their propellers repaired or improved and save money at the same time through a special offer from BBLADES Professional Propellers.
From January 1 through February 28, 2010 the highly-skilled technicians at BBLADES will renovate and restore banged-up blades to like-new condition, or custom tweak extra performance from a prop through “Lab Finishing” at a discounted hourly rate of just $80.00.
BBLADES can perform magic on almost any propeller– aluminum or stainless steel - from any manufacturer. By taking advantage of the slower winter months, boaters can have their props prepped and ready to go for the very next time they launch the boat. BBLADES can inspect propellers for dents, dings and cracks the owner may not even know are there until they hit the water…when it’s too late.
For those needing replacement wheels, BBLADES offers competitive pricing on Mercury, Hering, Hydromotive or Turbo, and can match the perfect prop to your boat through free consultation or their propeller testing program that allows boaters to “try before you buy.”
It’s never too early to start planning for your next boat outing, so BBLADES suggests avoiding the spring rush and taking advantage of its winter service discount.
More information is available at www.bblades.com or by calling 920-295-4435.
Based in Princeton, Wisconsin, BBLADES Professional Propellers is a full service propeller company offering consultation, inspection and repair of any aluminum, stainless steel, nibral and brass propellers; “Lab-Finishing” or “Blueprinting” of stainless steel propellers; competitive pricing on new props from Mercury, Hering, Hydromotive, Acme and Turbo; and the most comprehensive propeller testing program in the marine industry.

Mikes Angels,

The repairs to the bent propeller are dependent on the extent of the damage. We charge $90 a hour and break it down into 15 minute increments. It could be $45 for a half hour or $180 for two hours. You can send in the prop and we will quote you prior to the work or you can email us a picture and we can quote you from there.

Labbing new Bravo 1 propellers is $360. Call us with any other questions and we'll do what ever we can to help.

Thanks,
Brett

Would it be better for me to call...I emailed you and I believe it was Brad who responded a few weeks later...I responded...that was a couple of weeks ago...so far nothing. Don't get me wrong, I'm not in a rush, but I figured this would move a little quicker as I'm basically still trying to determine the best prop.

What was the email titled and who from so I can get with Brad and get this taken care of. It is very rare for a a email forwarded to Brad to take more than a couple days.

Sorry for the delay.

Below is the text from the emails...you can see the dates. Like I said, no rush, but I was wondering... I deleted my personal email for obvious reasons, but you should be able to locate these emails in your file.

Before the prop was dinged, max was 54 - 56 GPS. Understand that the ding in
the blades is minor, but I know this will impact performance none the less,
so now I won't typically go beyond 50+. Most of whom I spoke with said I
should have originally been into the 60+ range easily.

Thanks,
Mike

Looks like Brad was waiting for a reply on the performance numbers.
I don't know that he ever aquired a response post his email to you.

Using what you supplied here, we still need accurate WOT RPM numbers to determine the best route. Speed alone doesn't help us. Also, what is your g.r.?

Most likely the 23 Labbed correctly would achieve the best top numbers. The current 23 would need to be inspected to determine it's potential.

The first paragraph was my performance numbers _speed_ with the prop before I dinged it. I called and left a message with Josh for you to ring me so we can begin to get you the numbers you need to determine best prop.
Prop on there now is a 23p M+, top speed was about 54 - 56 GPS. It would hit rev limiter before I could get anymore out of her. (G.R is 1:5 guessing at this, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is.) B1, 496 HO Mag. Now with the ding, about 51 - 52, then hit the rev limiter.

Mike,
I left a VM on the phone number Josh supplied me. Let me know whether you recieved it.

As far as the prop, you will definately need to go up in pitch since you are hitting the rev limiter. We do have test propellers.
