Any Traeger Pellet heads here?

I don't have one, but know them fairly well. They are great units and do a great job. Can't go wrong with a Treager.
BTW, I will be attending the HPBA (Hearth, Patio, Barbeque Association) show in Orlando this spring. I think that I have purchased 6 or 7 different grills at the show over the years (still ahve most of them). ALL of the manufacturers are there, and they are cooking all weekend!

Not Traeger, but a definate Pellet Head. I have the FEC 100. However, I am considering a smaller Traeger with some portability for an extra competition smoker and catering smoker.

Do they offer deep discounts at the show?

I bought a large big green egg about 12 or 14 years ago for a couple of hundred, a cookshack smoker for a couple of hundred, a flat top gas griddle with a big wok for $50, and a pull behind gas grill for $400. All of them were demos just used at the show. It has been a few years since I have been, but I would think there would be some deals. Of course the dealing is better when I am there with a truck at the end of the show.

So, I must have a lot to learn about smokers.
At Thanksgiving I bought a gas Brinkmann smoker which I have not used yet.
I was in Omaha for the holidays and stayed at HiTechRedNecks. Bob loves to cook and had been using a smaller Traeger. Michaela bought him the larger Traeger for Christmas and he likes it.

I have been looking online for ideas on how to use the smoker any great online resources?

Primo may not have the brand name that BGE has, but they are every bit the quality of the BGE.

Christian do you still compete, vend or cater?

Christian

I compete very rarely, mostly local when they need to fill in a lot due to lack of entries

I do cater several times a year for wedding, I did NYE and I am cooking for several super bowl parties

all of it is word of mouth and friends

I like it a lot better when I am judged by a couple hundred and they all like it :)
