I signed up for 4. Not sure how many I will get to do however. BTW anyone running should send me their bio. They are doing a better job of collecting info this year but 20 hours is a lot of time to fill!

Does the BIO have to be true? I can write a good story.

I'm pretty sure I have heard a few good ones in past years, like "sponsored by Vandelay Industries"

They generally aren't. Acutally the best ones are like JT's that have some truth but bits of untrue that if you are on your toes someone will catch. So far he's been sponsored by:
Badda Bing
Vandelay Industries
Dunder Mifflin
Those are the ones that come to mind. There are some other that people have done that I can't remember.

Let's not forget McNamara and Troy cosmetic surgery ( Nip/Tuck)
OSO Steve sent me some trinkets and a sticker a few years
back, and I listed OSO as a sponsor.
I've got a couple of different things brewing for this year,
but I got to get the engines back in the boat first.
I'll probably do my normal run of 4

Would you happen to have a phone number for KRMS? I'd be interested in buying a copy as well.

Is there anyway of knowing when a MWBP boat is getting close to running? I know Von Bongo is busy, but is anybody else in a position to send out a mass text message to a list of us that will be watching? This would also give an opportunity for the members that are running to have tons of pics taken of them on the run. Just a thought.

If they say on their entry "sponsored by Midwest boat party" I will say it on the radio if I am on the air.

[smilie=appl] Cool, should be fun to see what she runs. What class do the 700's put you in?
This thread has me half tempted to see if I could break 68mph LOL.

John's going to run the Scarab this year. I don't know any details, but he's pretty pumped about it. Which also tells me - it won't be stock next year.
I just hope he won't be upset that the Scarab won't do 9.00 in the first quarter mile....[smilie=crazy] cuz that's what he's used to running on concrete....[smilie=crazy]
Any advice for first timers? And his wife??

In the past the 700 39 cigs have run 102-103. It's been a couple years since one ran at the event so set ups may be more dialed in.

I finished 3rd out of 3 [smilie=106.gif]
But I knew I'd have a very hard time with only 500's against 525, 38 fountains. GPS matched radar at 82 and 83. On the up side I bettered Daniel's speed of 82 when her ran their cig in the event 2 years ago.
It was a lot of fun, got out 4th on Sunday and ran again right away and back to the AC before 11AM so it worked out well. Anyone thinking they want to try it should.
After giving up motocross years ago, at least this was a little fix [smilie=crazy]
Had a heck of fun run back to the house. I got done with the awards and cast off at 7:25 and sunset was 7:48. I made it back to the no wake zone with 3 minutes to spare. Half way through the NW it was sunset so I ran it up to 30 and finished the trip. Right at Ledges Gino passed me in the Mercedes he was trying to get home too, was running 70 and he passed me like I wasn't even running.

I ran 73 and won my class. Not sure how many were in it, honestly. My guess is maybe one other boat - the Donzi that won it last year with a run of 65.
Results are here: http://www.lakeoftheozarksshootout.org/results.html
Looks like MWBP took all of the NV2*2 classes:
NV2M2 85 Brad Harrington/Jeremy Ressler (Team Kansas)
NV2P2 92 Jason Smith (Bad Idea)
NV2S2 73 John Humphrey (Keytime)
On a side note, there were so many people on the dock for the awards ceremony that it broke. Heard a loud bang and then it was noticeably sagging where the ramp attached.
What other members ran?
Post your speeds.
I ran 89 and 92 on Sat, and the way the conditions
were on Sunday it probably would have went a tick faster,
if the propshaft on the right drive would have stayed together.
