Drive a 1994 Chaparral 2500SX Sport (20 degree deadrise/approx weight 4,680lbs) Had Pro Boat Marine in Sunrise Beach replace regular 454 with a high performance 454 bored .030over. Now delivers 460-470hp propelled by B1. Currently using a 21in three blade prop and at 4800-5000rpm, GPS has boat traveling at between 54mph and 55mph at WOT. Would I see any advantage in going to a 23in prop three blade or four blade? Thanks for any advice, Julie.

how does it perform?

does it blow out?

do you have access to a marina with demo props?

I haven't had a single for a while but i had a similar boat with the same weight and I believe if your big block is churning that many horse you should be able to get a steeper prop on it.

Do you have dyno sheets on the motor. If your goal is to acheive the greatest top end we need to prop for the peak HP of the motor. Do you know at what RPM the motor is producing its peak HP?
