Anyone here use these? Pretty sure I need one, since I tow a 27' with a full size bronco. I looked a couple up, the price ranges are huge, seems like the best one was about 450$. Any comments? Suggestions?

If the truck can't handle the weight as is I would look at getting a bigger truck. A weight distibuting hitch will keep the azz end of the truck from dragging the ground, but the drivetrain and brakes will still be way overloaded. Use the money towards a 3/4 or 1 ton truck. [smilie=twocents.gif]

Dont get me wrong, I have plenty of power and braking. I thought in addition to keeping the ass from sagging, which isn't a problem, it kept the weight distributed over the entire vehicle, so when you hit rougher road it rides smoother. Also, I thought they helped with sway.

I used to work at a trailer dealership my uncle owned all through high school. Don't take this the wrong way but the people that bought weight distribution hitches were the same people would come in and buy all kinds of crap that nobody else ever could find a use for. The only thing they are good for is to help the trailer from swaying, but the difference is mainly in your head. I would highly highly recomend not buying one.
I know it sucks to hear but meyerwrench is exactly right. The only way to solve it is a bigger truck.
Sorry for bursting your bubble, but I hope the advice helps.

It will only help you for some sag and sway(with the anti sway bar)on large bumper pull trailers(campers, enclosed cargo trailer)but won't get rid of it all....only thing to do is go 1ton with duals....

You may also want to think about what you are towing and what you are towing with. You have an accident while towing and the tow rateing on the truck is exceeded the ins. comp. and you may not see eye to eye.. [smilie=011.gif]
