What is your "go to" bass bait on the lake?
Jr and I like to use a "carolina rigged" 6" salamander in light green, rigged with a sharpened Kamatsu worm hook. we will go anywhere from no weight up to about 3/8 oz. Cast out and let it settle, and drag it in, bouncing it off the bottom. Work it slowly and wait for the "thump". This is where good equipment will give the the feel. We typically use our baitcasters with 12 lb. line.
It seems like we can catch the year around with this setup, but of course we use others.
