Any one here ever repair there surge brakes? I have an Eagle tandom with a D10 surge brake system that has been neglected. The master cylinder is our, it just leaks everything out and is rusted pretty badly and one of the rear brake lines is broken. This did wonders for the paint over the years. Anyway, now that I own it, it would be great to actually be able to stop or slow down on the LOTO hills without the boat passing me. Anyone ever replaced the master cylinder in there system? Any advice?
Thanks

We did work on Adam's system. Most axle places have the parts, Eagle is up and running again I hear as well. It's not a bad job, just takes some time.

I just did brakes on my Roadrunner trailer. I had to replace all the shoes and wheel cylinders. The linings had seperated from the shoes, and the wheel cylinders were seized up. I didn't do the master cylinder it was still ok but it was dry. So you better check the entire system, my trailer is a 98 and it looks great, but the brake system was a mess.

I found the Eagle website, there prices are outragous! I did find a website that had the Dico (I think) master cylinder at about half the cost. I am more scared about the springs in the coupler when I take the master cylinder out, or do I not have to mess with those to get it out?

Check this place out. I just change all my brakes on my Eagle. Went with electric and I love them. no more pushing the truck and on more slamming.
If you are in Omaha, try AA Wheel @ 8904 J St. 402-597-6118. They should have what you need.
