Think i am going to add an inverter to power some ac recepts & a tv when not on shore power.
I currently have a charger, but it looks older than the boat & not sure it works, so its gonna go.

How would this all wire up? From my ac shore power, i think it needs to run to a main ac panel. From the panel, ac to the charger. The charger then has dc connections to batts. Also from the panel, ac to the inverter. dc then to the batts. From the inverter ac to a sub panel. From the sub panel ac circuits for recepts & tv.

This sound bout right?

Looks like Xantrex has a combo charger/inverter. So may not be as difficult as i thought.

If you need one I have one that I am getting ready to pull out and sell. It's a big inverter that has run everything including my AC. Don't know what kind it is but if you have an interest, I can check. I just never use it.

Xantrex will be a pricey but very solid option.

With 50-60amp of DC charging capacity on ones I have looked at, recharge would be short work and easily support charging while playing the stereo when "borrowing" power from a cruiser running a genny as well.
