We make these mini turkey sandwhiches using "kings Hawaiian" bread. That is some of the best tasting bread IMO.
We also had a friend grill some sirloin steaks the night before and cut them into little cubes and put them in a ziplock bag in the cooler when we went out on the water. When we got hungry we just took a few pieces out and it was awesome!

We always cut up a bunch of fresh fruit, put it in a large Ziploc bag, and store it in the cooler. Ice cold fruit is great on a hot day!

I think beer and oreos are sufficient. But I'm merely a simple minded fool.

I prefer Vodka and Squirt on the boat along with the beer.
Can't forget the Chex Mix! Fruit and the ol' reliable ham sandwiches.

Deli Wraps-
One large tortilla, dribble some ranch or mustard down the middle. Add leaf lettuce, bacon, cold cuts, cheese etc, wrap up and roll in aluminum foil. Place 8-10 wraps in a gallon ziplock bag in the cooler. Beats the crap out of sandwiches, you can't crush the bread and they are cold and ready in the cooler.
Carrot sticks, a little dip. Funions! Chex mix. Twizzlers
Boat dip
Mix 1 small container of jalapeņo sour cream dip with a brick of cream cheese. Spread in a flat Tupperware. Add a layer of shredded cheese, diced green chilis, chopped tomato and sliced black olives. Use some sort of stiff chip for dipping.
Then there is always hot dogs and marshmellows for the camp fire.....
The wife is an ice cream fiend, so we have taken a pint of ice cream in a ziplock bag in the cooler and it stays just fine for quite few hours.
Oh, and pancakes. (if you have a propane griddle)...... Use Krusteez mix....

Wraps are the best! Especially now that they've got so many great flavors of them.
This recipe is a favorite of our group, and never seems to get old.
Mix 2 lg cream cheese with 1/2 cup mayo, sm can chopped black olives, 1/4 cup chopped green onions and 1 cup shredded cheddar. Spread about 1/4 - 1/3 cup over large tortilla. Place thinly sliced deli ham over that. Roll the tortilla and then cover with saran wrap. Chill so the cheese mix gets firm. Do this to about 8 large tortillas. Then slice them into about 1 inch sections. It takes some work upfront, but then you don't have to do anything when you get to the sandbar. They are a favorite.
Dill pickles wrapped in cream cheese and ham are another favorite.
Shrimp or imitation crab meat with cocktail sauce (outside the boat) is a great low fat favorite.

Another quick and easy one is tortilla shells, the cooked chicken strips, cheese and taco sauce. Super tasty and easy assemble.
You mean you're suppose to take something other than Alcohol on the boat, I very rarely have room after the Ice and cocktails for anything but a Subway sandwich.

We do all the usual....fruits, jerky, deli meats, crackers, etc. I have one rule, though...... Nothing with yellow food coloring, like Cheeto's or Cheesits. I've found if the kids leave one on the white upholstry and it gets wet, that stain is there for a long time.

I have a question about the rum soaked fruit - do you soak it and then take it out piece by piece to freeze it? Or freeze it soaking and then drink the juice? Hmmm, so many ideas....

sometimes I take one of those orange Gott coolers and put 3 cut up limes, 3 cut up lemons, bag of ice, 1 two liter sierra mist or sprite, 1 two liter of lemonade, and a big jug of cheap vodka. Mix it all up and grab some plastic cups. Dont end up with a thousand empty cans that way. good for long river trips[smilie=trink39]

We also make sandwiches using the Hawaiian bread. We buy the big round loaf, slice the top off and put meat & cheese on it. Then slice it into wedges. I bring some extra toppings, lots of times just a pickle chip & condiments but HuskerFan likes them plain. Got that idea from JP one day.. mmm mmm good! We also do hot links.. boil them at home and put in a drink cooler with some of the hot water. Nuts, chips, jerky, sometimes cookies.

I think its funny the people who don;t bother to bring anything out to eat.. just booze. Then if we offer something to eat when they very much seem like they need it, it is GLADLY scarfed up.. wow thanks! I'll have to bring something out next time!!!!! Uh huh.. same thing next week!
It's probably a good idea to bring "something" as opposed to having a liquid diet the entire day in the hot sun. I know.. buzz kill.. bring it for the ride home though!

Do Jello shots count as a snack?
Wow - isnt that the truth!
We usually grab a loaf of bread, some lunch meat, and some condiments and call it good. Its there to soak up the alcohol on the way back to the ramp anyway isnt it?

I like peanuts - good protein. In the shell is the best, but they make a mess. But, if you're in a cove & no one is around, off the swim deck dangling your feet... cold beer & 'nuts' - niiiiiiiiice! [smilie=trink39]

A favorite boat treat for our crew is smoked salmon. I smoke some fillets, then run them trough the food saver, works great. They travel well in cooler without worry of getting waterlogged. A block of cheese and a fillet and some crackers can feed several. I smoke it down pretty dry, very tasty. As with all my recipes, served best with Budweiser.

We usually pack several things from chip and dip. tostitos and salsa. ham and creme cheese rollups, and of course some type of sandwich or wrap. I prefer the wraps, no fuss no muss, shut up and eat! The ex always brought seasoned crackers of some kind and sausage and cheese.
