Will a LH prop fit a Rh rotating outdrive? I read somewhere on here that they would work and are cheaper.

They will fit, if it is the same shaft diameter and for the same drive.

However, you WILL have to change the cable hookups opposite.
That is IF this is a Bravo Drive. I am not for sure if Alpha'a or other makes are 'switchable'
I know I have changed mine around, and just had to run the handles in reverse for the testing.
I doubt they are any cheaper?

It may also change the handling of the boat and make it lean or pull to the opposite side. Some boat manufactures do run LH props on some single engine models. Bravo drives can spin either RH or LH and you need to switch the shift cable as mnf said. Alphas can only be spun one way and single engine boats are rh only.

Ok, I am looking to try a few props on my boat in order to get some top speed out of it. We installed a new 540 in it last year and am trying to prop it out right without spending a bunch of $$$ on props. We have tried a 3 blade 21, 24 and 27, and can ventilate all 3 of them. I am guessing a 4 blade 24 will be close to what I need. It's a 236 Rinker Captiva. It used to have a 454 mag in it and ran 66-67 mph, now all we can get is 69mph. Does anyone have a prop renting program?
