I am not sure what pitch was on my boat before. The RPM's were at 5,000 at full thottle and I could get it up to 45mph with just me and my wife. I have a 21' 4.3 litre maxum. I only use the boat to go up and down river. I do not pull any tubes or skiers. I am interested in getting the best cruising and top speed. I recently bought a 21 pitch prop and havent got to use it yet. Is this the best pitch for my needs or do you beleive my old prop had a higher pitch?

tried the 21 this weekend. Brought the WOT down not 4800 and mph up 2 about 47. worked great on the long cruise back down the river with 8 people aboard.

first throw the black prop in the trash. They flex to much. You will be better off with a SS 19 pitch 3 blade prop.

If you ski go for the 19 SS and you will still get the same top end. The aluminum props flex.

I dont ski. Just drink a lot of beer. After last weekend on the river thier is no black paint left on my new aluminum prop. Water was a little low in some places and i guess it got sand blasted off. Is it true that if you hit something on the river with a SS prop you will ruin a lot more than a prop and if you hit something with the aluminum you will just beak the prop?

I have a lot of pictures from the River up by Sioux City from the last 4 weekends but I still cant get them to upload.
