Dash face lift for the old 208 Islander Baja has a success

[Northern Baja]

It started as a Spring project and finished Thursday night before our Memorial day outing.

The old Islander had an old grey dash that look more like a fishin' boat than a sport boat. So ........

Everyone was positive I wouldn't make it for Memorial day. Mark Schoenmann (Schoenmann Boat Works) did the fiberglass work and sprayed my carbon fiber dash panel. I don't think he figured I'd get it together to head for the river the next day.

Of course I had to do both sides to complete the job. Everyone liked the end result. Fortunately for me everything worked. [smilie=071.gif]

What did you do with your old gauges?

All the Faria gauges were in fine working order. They are available. Probably cost you half a case a beer. If you and your drink faster thn I do it'd cost you less. Jody drinks wine so she wouldn't be a factor. [smilie=265.gif]

I'd like to replace the guages in my 81. Some of mine don't work and they are mismatched. I'll take them off your hands. We'll get together in the upcoming week.

Culprit...LOL stop down at Great River Harbor we are all culprits down there.
