We're looking at new gas grills, and wanting some input.
What are you guys using, what do you like, dislike, etc.
Right now I've narrowed it down to the Jenn Air 45, or the Weber D-310, we don't use the extra burner, on our old one, so don't need one.
Thanks in advance. [smilie=042.gif]

We sell this grill set up but it may be more than you want to spend on a BBQ

+1 on the Weber. Although I'm a little Weber-obsessed. I assume you're talking about the S-310 (not familiar with a d310). I like 'em.

Go Traeger or BGE and never look back. For my next "grill" I am getting a traeger executive. And the Eggs are awesome if you want to stay charcoal, but the pellet grill are the way to go.

I do have a gass grill but I am just not getting the flavor from it that I like

I have this one and it has been a good grill fro 2 years

main reason I got it is it can be converted to run on NG so it can be plumbed to the house

I have had a MHP stainless steel hooked up to the nat gas from the house for several years now and love it. Its got a great guarantee. No more bottles to jack with.

My weber is about 5 years old its ok. It does cook a little uneven.

Weber all the way...I have two of them. One at our cabin and one at the house. As mentioned, there maybe some uneven heating, not bad though. I use the hot spot to get those steaks a little more done. Also, they have held up great.

As for the Holland that was mentioned. I have had a couple of those as well. Great grill, but they run at a very low heat level. Meant to be used like a smoker. Could take a as long as 45-60 minutes to cook a couple of good size steaks.

Real men cook with charcoal and wood

Can't go wrong with the Weber Premier but it's a little short on curb appeal

I have the weber at the lake and this summer purchased the JennAir for home, if I had to do it again I would have bought another weber at home.

I prefer charcoal too, the food comes out much better tasting in my opinion. Gas grills are about the same as using the broiler in the over as far as I am concerned. But if you are stuck on the gas option I would go with a weber, they are great grills and hold up a long time. Happy grilling!

Reggie,
I would go for the Weber, unless you have 2-6 hours to prepare a meal with the Holland. It is true the Holland will not have flame-ups, but I have found you need fire to have a flame-up.

From what I have researched (and I have done a lot), there is no really good gas grill. There are a lot of them out there and you can spend from a few hundred to well over a grand on them. But the burners will rust/burn out. Sure they are guaranteed, some for quite a number of years. But try to replace your 5 year old burner on a July 4th weekend. It's not going to happen, no matter what brand you have. You'll be waiting months for it even if they are able to replace it. By the time you do receive it there will be snow on the ground or you'll be grilling on your charcoal grill again.

I'd suggest you stay with pellets, wood or charcoal.

This puppy is on sale for $179 http://www.bbqgalore.com/smokers/misc/173543
I'll be ordering one tomorrow and picking it up next month and taking it down to the Lake. I have one similar here at home but made by New Braunsfel. I've had it for close to 25 years and it just keeps going. I've thought about going with a larger grill but this same unit made from thicker stock will run you around $1500. And like I said, I've had mine about 25 years already.

Hey Quicknloud,
Do you sell the component parts to that set up? I would like to buy the frame work and build in an ice maker and stuff.

When you are down at the lake this spring Hy-Vee in Osage Beach will have a ton of Webers to chose from and they will deliver and set up.

you know, if you start with good meat and good preperation and know your grill whatever style it is it'll turn out great. Even Bustags grill would cook up some good squirrell.

Bustag I drove through the twin cities wednesday, I was going to Sauk Centre w/ a truck. It was freakin cold. What's up with cars and storage sheds on the ponds? I should be back through in a couple weeks, I hope it's warmer.

Those arent storage sheds there called "Fish houses".

What you do is find a butt-load of scrap lumber, hammer it all into something that resembles a box while drinking beer then drill some holes in the bottom and drag it onto a frozen lake keeping your fingers crossed your truck doesnt fall through the ice cause your not smart enough to check the thickness of the ice before you pull onto it,

THEN you get the box in place on the lake (if your lucky enough not to drive to the bottom of it) and drill some holes in the ice under it aligning them perfectly with the holes in the bottom of the box..

Once (or if) you have this done you start a BIG fire in the box so you dont freeze to death and put some string with a hook on the end down the holes in the floor then sit back and drink alot of beer.

They say it's fun[smilie=crazy]
