right at 147 won the whole thing
we had 4 boats 138, 139, 140 and 141 respecitively, i took 2nd in 30ft and under performance with a 139, with the same setup same boat I did 143 last year in the drier air
it was toughr competiton this year than last and the humidity kept the scores down
it is pretty much 4 15s and 4000 watts on the subs to get the top spot in any class now.

Depending on where it was tuned that should have put you in the running for top 3 in your class.
Come by next year and give it a run [smilie=042.gif]
JC (amer3) had charging issues with his new alternators and was not able to make it

I would like to see that as well. I am in the market for a 29 OL and was planning on 4 10s, but haven't seen too many installs.

Here are some pics of my install.. Boat may be for sale too if your interested.
Stereo includes:
6- 8's
4 - Polk components
2 - Kicker KX-350
Clarion CDM4 with IPOD controller
Carion transom remote
Stock Helm Remote
2- Optima Blue Tops
The 8's dont provide the large thumping bass like alot of us like but they do offer a great sounding bass and the Polk compenents are the only way to go if you get them up high. One thing I like about the 8's is the power draw. I can run my stereo all day and rest assured it will start when Im ready to leave. I might add a good 10" or 12" this winter to give it just a tad more thump though.

Here are some pics of my old 272 with (3) 10's and Polk Audio 6.5's. This boat hit hard but only would last a couple hours.

Very nice looking install. I have always been a fan of 10's but i did have four 8's in my last truck and they sounded very nice but obviously lacked the ability to get real low. I was pretty happy with the power draw on those Kicker amps. I have two 350.4 and a 1200.1 with two 10 Diamond Audio subs and 8 kicker 6.5's in the last boat and it would play hard for about 6-8 hours. i had three Optima Yellow tops dedicated to the system but was still suprised how long it would last. I will be looking very hard for a 29 after the first of the year.

I am not going to start looking real hard until after the first of the year but the 29 will definitely be my first choice. When are you planning on making a move on a 35?

There is a ~38' Regal Cruiser on my dock who enters every year, he said he won a couple of years ago. Did he win again. I think he is a pro however, he has an AV company.

I really like the sound of the 8's but that deep bass just isnt there like you said. I think if I add one good 10" with plenty of clean power it will give it just what I want. The mids and highs are so loud now you cant hardly stand in the boat. Cutting those 6.5's in up high in the back and front is the way to go so you get the sound up high.. Makes a HUGE difference from the stock system.
So did you run the 2 10's with the 1200? I am pondering what amp to use for just one 10". I like the Kicker line for the price. [smilie=trink39]

I am in the middle of building my new house,so when ever it is done I will buy the new one. But like to sell asap.I think a 29 outlaw is 1 of the best boats out there. I really dont want to sell it. just want to go alittle faster and bigger.29 with twins is easy to trailer and dock. I can put that boat anywhere.

I probably build a new house since I own a custom home company. But the ease of a condo has crossed my mind.

I was running the 10's off the 1200.1 at 2 ohm and the bass was impressive. I did a vented sub enclosures which I think sounded much better than the sealed box in my last boat. I am not sure what Kicker currently offers in their mono line but I know they had a KX600.1 that would push that one 10.
