Brett I got the new prop and was able to test it yesterday at lake perry. Here are my numbers with slip calculated on Mercury's web calculator. The boat is a 94 Envision 2900 combo. 454mag carbed, bravo 1 1.50 ratio, 21P revolution 4 blade prop, carried about 70 gal of gas and two people.

3000rpm/28mph=30%
3500rpm/35mph=25%
4000rpm/43.1mph=19%
4500rpm/47.1mph=21%
4700rpm/50.3mph=19%
4800rpm/50.2mph

The speeds from 3500 to 4500 are a huge improvement from what I was getting with the 21P Mirage 3 blade so I am very happy with that. That was the improvement I was looking for. The slip numbers seemed a little high to me. The speeds were using gps and the rpm was the factory tach. The water was very flat. So what do you think? Thanks, John

John-
Those look like some good numbers. I've been on the fence between the 19 and 21. After what you got I think I would like to try the 21. How was the handling? Did it carry the bow nice? I hear docking is also improved...What are your thoughts?
Thanks Craig

Craig, I was very impressed overall, slow speed handling was night and day difference from the 3 blade. I did notice I could trim out all the way and not blow out the prop on the top end. It was a short test sat am so I did not get to do much docking. I am very happy, just concerned with the slip numbers

What was the slip numbers with the Mirage? I have a 19 Mirage and always have high slip numbers. Is 4800 high enough on the revs, or does it matter if you don't WOT. My concern is like yours the 3000-4000rpm speed if I can't make the 5000rpm+ needed to not lug the engine but I get the better cruise am I ok?

I don't remember for sure what my slip numbers were with the Mirage, but I know they were bad. I had no problem cruising with the midrange rpms on the 4 blade. That is what I wanted, more speed at 3500 or so

Looks pretty good but could possibly be better. This boat isn't wanting to participate. LOL

Labbing the props to get the mid range a little higher is a legitimate option.
