Hi, I'm new to the forum and new to boating as well. I'm working on a 89 Rinker 236 Captiva. It used to have a 454 Mag in it and about 63 mph on the gps, but I don't remember what prop was on it then. The new 540 that's in it dynoed at 565 hp and 594 lb. tq @ 5300 rpm. Any ideas on a good prop to try on it? If you need more info let me know I'll see what I can do. Thanks!!

Assuming it is a Bravo 1, I'd start with a 23P and go up from there if needed.

I'm guessing you are going to need a little more pitch than 23 inches, if the hp is indeed 565. If you have a "wet" weight of the boat we can run the numbers and come real close the pitch needed to start with. What propeller or propellers do you have to test with? Any type of initial baseline will give us a place to work from.
We have test props so let us know if we can help.
