I'm planning on taking the little wif to Cancun.

Is it too early to plan a vaca to Cancun. I'd love to meet any of you guys if we could get together down there.

I was thinking all inclusive party till dawn type of atmosphere.

Anyone interested? [smilie=042.gif] [smilie=042.gif]

Isn't Hedo in Jamaica?

We're going to Cancun in September. Kids getting married down there.
We're doing an all inclusive and it looks fantastic, hopefully it will be.

Hedo sounds good too. I read somewhere that there are a few Hedo and the newest is the best.

I have no idea what Hedo costs though. Can't be cheap, but nothing worth a real good memory is cheap. [smilie=071.gif] [smilie=071.gif]

Maybe we can bring this thread back this fall. I know everyones eager for summer fun right now. Just thinking ahead. [smilie=042.gif]

Hey, it's an all inclusive so you pay a little extra for all the food and booze. But look at it this way, you don't have to spend a bunch on your wardrobe before going.........

We went to Cancun a few years ago. Didn't care for it. Too commercial. Loved Mazatlan & Puerto Vallarta. Hope to go to Mazatlan in Jan or Feb.

The resorts at Montego Bay are great - but the Island itself is pretty poor, kinda sad. That's where eddie and I honeymooned

Eddie and I really enjoyed Cancun, too. Ed's sister came with us - she's fluent in spanish, which helped us out quite a bit. It was/is commercial, but still a hell of a lot of fun . I liked it way more than Cozumel [smilie=1062.gif] [smilie=1271.gif] .

Dr. freinds of ours returned from Playa Del Camren a month ago and had the time of their lives. Said the partying was great, beaches white sand and they booked all inclusive which I have to agree with.

They too looked into Hedo III but was told by someone else that there were a boat load of people that were ... well ... overweight for a lack of better terms. [smilie=shakin.gif] They were told by an agent that if you book where the young crowd goes, it becomes easier on the eyes and most Mexican Resorts don't frown on some nekkidness.

She said they were dressed 50% of the time  , especially around the pool and there was no mention of it from anyone. Plus you could wander around to numberous resorts that were owned by the same group and enjoy all the food and drinks you wanted.

I'm going to check with her on which resort it was with and post a link later. [smilie=042.gif]

If you have ever been to a nude beach it is NOT a pretty sight. Trust me. I have been to a couple on accident (so Adam says) and the naked people I have seen I wished I hadnt.

I have never been to Cancun, but I have seen a lot of Mexico. Mexico is very third world once you leave the resort areas. I prefer the industrialized Mexico. I keep hearing Los Cabos is very nice. Has anyone ever been there?

What about Tijuana? WE are going to California at the beginning of July and my niece lives in Coronado which we will visit and we noticed it is close to Tijuana. Just wondering what it is like.

Do we need the insurance that is good in Mexico if we are driving a rental car?

10 Coronas for $10, but the trip on the train thing to and from San Diego is a major buzz kill.

Just got back from Cancun last night. Trip was pretty good for the most part, except the weather. Freakin' rain followed us down there. Locals said it rained as much if not more than it did 2 yrs ago during their last hurricane. Cozumel lost power on Sunday and the airport closed due to runway under 4ft of water!!! I've been to Cancun several times and the beaches and nightlife are great. All inclusive is the best bet and stay at a NICE property (5 star). Hopefully my buddy will forward the pics soon and I'll put a few up.

I've been to Cancun twice and several other places in Mexico. This year went to Puerto Vallerta and it was the first time I'd been the "other side" of Mexico. The beaches were not quite as white and the water not as blue or warm, but fabulous all inclusive resorts, beautiful weather, and great shopping. The night life was good too. Cancun is always a blast, hence reason for the second trip. The "Palaces" are really nice all inclusive resorts in Cancun, but just make sure you're aware the Moon Palace is off the strip and about 1/2 hr. south of the city, so if you're going out at night-it's kind of a pain. If you want to relax and romance, Moon Palace is not a bad choice. Have fun...it's not too early to plan! [smilie=061.gif]

We're staying at the Aventura Palace. Looks awsome and everyone I've talked to says the Palace resorts are fantastic.

Anyone considering a winter vaca to MX?

Maybe DJ can get us an all inclusive destination with a MWBP rate from multiple destinations. [smilie=042.gif] [smilie=071.gif]

My family owns a travel agency. I can see what she can do. All of the discounts are based on the number of people that go. Usually the 20th person to go will get you a free room which usually is split between the group in price. After that I think every 10th person will get you a free room. Mexico is very expensive right now (compared to usual) if you are booking for before Easter. If you wait until after easter prices are a lot cheeper. I've been to Mexico and have to say that Playa Del Carmen blows everything else out of the water. Nice Beach. Not Commercial but still neat places to go out while there.

Just got back yesterday from Cancun, well actually the Mayan Riviera, and it was awsome. Spent most of the week lounging around the pool and pool bar, met a bunch of great people, women spent most days topless (adults only resort). I'd go back right now if I had any more vacation left for this year. Had a 4 person hot tub in our room for the evenings, and other times, even had a liquor locker right in the room. Anything you want they would provide.
I hated Playa Del Carmen the town but if there is a resort by that name it probably was awsome.
Hedo 111 is in Jamaica.
