Can you tell me what's up with my prop?
I have not asked Greg M. about it for a long time so I thought I would just see if you had any news on it yet. (not a big deal)
FYI, I lost 2 props last year and Merc covered one and they are "looking onto the 2nd one".
I know a guy from TX lost 5 of the same prop last year and Merc covered all of them.
Thanks for the help.

Craig,
I'll check into it for you. I'll ask Greg this weekend and call Merc next week. (probably Wednesday) I get to go boating Tuesday [smilie=061.gif] [smilie=071.gif]
I have heard this can happen, cavitation seems to have a lot to do with it. is it always the port motor? thats the one that seems to cavitate the most on the baja's
take care and have a good weekend!

Thanks Tom [smilie=trink39]
As far as if it was the port side or not, I lost one of each.
If you guys think that one is bad check out the other one

So what is the story behind this? Sounds like it my be a Merc and not a Baja issue?

From all I have seen this is NOT a Baja problem at all.
Tom
I'm seeing that "cavitation" thing this year. I NEVER saw this last year, any thoughts on what could be different??????
I did add drive showers..............
Thanks

Craig,
It most certainly is a Mercruiser warranty issue, they have issued a service bulletin/recall on a certain run of props, apparently there was production problem somewhere along he process. They have agreed to warranty your prop.
As far as the cavitation, the drive showers shouldnt effect that, is your boat loaded any differently than last year? The new props that you have may be a little different than the old ones.....bring it by sometime and I will take it out for spin with you to check it out....
