What gives the best results in overall performance with prop rotation on 32-33 Baja's?

I have a 97 32 outlaw with raised drives, boxes and notched transom. I am currently spinning in and the boat seems to handle well but the backing has a lot to be desired.

I am thinking about swapping the drive rotation to see what I get. Is it hard on a drive to spin it the other way after 200hrs of spinning in one direction?

Thanks for help and welcome to the site.

Notched,

You have a pretty good feel for your boat, the props turning inboard are set up for maximum speed and lift of the stern. The Bravo I drive is equally adept at turning either CW or CCW rotation without damage so if you want to swap the rotation I dont see a problem. Your backing up will improve at the cost of a few top end mph.

Our noew 33' Donzi's come set up like your boat and they dont back up for **it! I am going to swap the controls around and swap the props to make it a better handling and user friendly boat a the sacrifice of a few mph on the big end. Easier on Gel coat that way!!!

Take care [smilie=042.gif] and let me know how it turns out.

Thanks for the advise. Looking at a back in lift and spinning in just makes it a challenge.

You will get used to it. My 33 Donzi was my first twin screw, so I had nothing to compare it to but I dont have any problems getting around.
