Brett from BBlades has generously decided to sponsor MWBP!!!
As many of our members will tell you, BBlades is THE authority on performance props. A couple of lucky winners at the party got gift certificates for prop work courtesy of BBlades.
Please help me thank Brett, and if you have any questions for BBlades concerning work you'd like done to gain a few extra MPH, please visit the Garage Forum where you'll find a section just for BBlades.

Welcome Brett!! FYI Everyone, BBlades is where the props for my Scarab project come from. Brett will be doing some prop work this spring for the Scarab again now that it is back to stock power. Going to lab a set of 4 blades and test a few sets of 5 blades. Might be interesting to start a thread on this, and with help from Brett we can all learn the value of the right prop combination.
Thanks for coming aboard Brett!! [smilie=appl] [smilie=appl] [smilie=appl]

Fellas this is where the props came from for the 33 Outlaw as well. I told Brett I was having problems with blow out and gave him my RPM's, speed, fuel load, etc and he work my three blades over to a tune of 3+ mph more and NO BLOW OUT. The boat is a dream to drive now. Hell Ya and I even turned the props in and the only difference was the docking
If you need props work, this is the time to get it done!
Here are the before and after pics of the speedo. I can't find the GPS pics of 69.4 after it was done

I've dealt with him before , he is a great guy to deal with. he will be labbing our bravo prop this spring for us.
Brett got my maximus's dialed in
88 was previous best.
On my first experience with him,
we had a shipping screw up, mine ended
up in Arkansas, and I ended up with one
"egg beater" prop.
This was on a friday before Memorial day weekend.
I expained to him that I had another set of props,
and it was no big deal, but, he had them shipped
up from Arkansas to me, and when I came back home
from running some errands Saturday AM, there they were
( next day air, saturday am delivery $$$ )
Most people wouldn't go out of their way to do that
....And I still need to get those bravo's back up to you for some tweaking,
I'll get them up there this next month.

I don't know if there was any difference in cruise speed before he
worked on them, but they do cruise waaay better than the 32 bravo's do
......to the tune of about 5 mph faster.
On the smaller diameter maximus, he reshaped the blades
back to the original blade shape ( apparently, mercury just lopps off
the blade tips of the large dia. max to produce the smaller diameter
max)
He also cut down the diffuser ring.
For my application, the 5 blades seem to be the answer.

Yup, The 5 blade Maximus's I got from BBlades were the ticket on the Scarab with the whipple motors. In all departments, Top Speed, Cruise,Handling, and Ride!! I bet there is a set back on the Scarab with the stock power before too long.. Brett is going to tweak a little more on the Skater props too.
I gotta give Brett credit for part of the success of the Scarab project. He always had time to talk to me about the project. But I will admit it suprised us both with the results... [smilie=071.gif]
Thanks again Brett!!
