I called Marine Development Inc. in Oklahoma for a dock price. They did Rick's boat yard and Dodge park slips. They want $7,832 for a 12' x 28 ' open slip U shaped dock built out of dipped galvanized w/out decking. $704.88 for sales tax. I'm looking at $10K after its over and done with. I called Tiger Docks in MO three times and they never call back. Anyone know another place I can try? I wanted steel gussets and walk way with Trex decking like they did at Ricks.

eddie try to google a dock company in Minnesota. Last year when I was at the Mpls boat show they had as many dock builders as they did boat dealers.

I'm not that cheap. Any more dock places that I can call? Tiger' are worth $30K last time I checked. I don't think $60K will save me much cash DJ.

DJ's boat is worth a cent and a half per pound down at Alters scrap processing with no water pump in it.

NO Waterpump???
Check your facts farmboy, that Tige's got TWO waterpumps in it right now!

So one's broken and the other one doesn't fit, but its two none the less.

Where you putting the dock? In the river or at some lake? If you can get by for under $^G's for that size dock you aren't doing too bad. I would doubt you will do any better for a new dock.

Kev, we have a place of Carter Lake. I'd like to have the dock in place next year.

Anyone heard of Krantz Docks? They gave me a great price on a kit for our lake.

I could get you some names when I get back from vacation. $5-6K sounds like a good price from a LOTO dock company. I will spend at least that if not twice that just to refoam my dock with the encapsulated foam. Most of the new homes we finance on lake frontage there run about $25K for a 2 well encapsulated concrete dock with a roof.

I would look at a couple of docks the company has built that are a few years old to see how they are holding up. You can easily do that at LOTO.

I penned a deal on a dock today for a local company in Fremont, NE called Aero Tech. I guess the guy that use to own it now owns Frank and Louies at LOTO and he sold it to one of his workers.

I took a few shots of docks they have done on lakes in the Omaha area today.

Ya, I'm waiting for the rest of the parts so I can put it in. He said to make it up, they would try to get it in the water for me. Have to see what happens, they tell me they have never had a problem getting parts delivered like this before.

Originaly they were just going to drop the parts off and I was going to put it in, I've been waiting three weeks for the rest of the parts.

eddie, don't you just love getting all your ducks in row so you can hurry up and wait and wait and wait...............

My heads were supposed to take 2-3 weeks at Charley's. It'll be 5 weeks on Tues. Good news is they "should be" done this week.

So we get our dock delivered and they put it in the water [smilie=061.gif]

BSB came down and helped me put the green treat on. I had the dock approved by the builder that lives next door in December before I ordered it. Tonight he calls and said it looks to long [smilie=106.gif] do I want a copy of the covenants. I said no you approved it when I was over your house for the superbowl party. This is going to get interesting [smilie=249.gif]

I have approval for 34' of dock in the water. Doug wants me to remove the walkway. I'm considering moving the middle section forward to make more of an H shape dock. I wanted the slip big enough for our boat, but who knows what year the water will be high enough for that anyway.

What are your thoughts of a H shape with a 12 x 20 slip in the middle?

34 foot of dock in what water??????????????

Would that make two walk ways to the Dock????

Three walk ways if you want to jump on the two ends.

34 foot of dock in what water??????????????

Right, that's why I don't see why it's a big deal to pull it back to the sea wall now. You can't get into our cove anyway. Well not with a 25 Outlaw that is.

The slip is 28 x 12 and a 30 would fit. K and I were talking about cleats last night. It's set up for a lift and I wouldn't need cleats on the inside, but they would be nice for visitors.
