Kenwood, not sure of the model but it's the stock head unit. I love how it always falls out of it's enclosure in the cabin and hanging by the wires. I think that was a special feature Formula added in 02 :roll: :roll:

I have a Sony.... the remote never worked, and now the unit doesn't either.....

Clarion, makes a user friendly system to install all over the boat and hook all sorts of accesories to.

But of you are going for just a load clear radio try something else.

JBL, remotes are better than most brands, only 2 sets of preouts. the stock JBl dual cone speakers sucked, replaced them with Polk seperates, adding Jl Audio 500/1 and 300/4 amps and a sub(s) over the winter, may upgrade the head unit this summer.

I have all Alpine stuff. I bought mu first alpine for my KW since the display is visible when looking at the stereo from below. Plus I really liked the IPOD connection that they had when I bought them. Now I have all alpines in all my vehicles except my new chevy. I just want to switch from XM to sirius in that.

what is full speed?

generic term for a dedicated ipod bus. previous generations the companies (kenwood, alpine, clarion, etc) just used their cd changer bus to control the ipod. but because it was a hack job to say they support ipod, it was slow, could not support all the functions of the ipod & normally required an add on box to convert the signaling.

Every vehicle I own has a Pioneer supertuner which includes amp and speakers I have a Technics receiver in the house 5.1 dolby surround 100watts per channel Pioneer dvd/cd players and Polk Audio speakers with a powered sub it will rattle the windows [smilie=1062.gif]

Kenwood kvt-715dvd in dash dvd player, Orion amps, Memphis Audio mids and tweets, and Infinity Kappa subs. It'll play mp3s off of a dvd without skipping, on the main channel on a sat. afternoon.
