So I've got an ol' 95 350 MAG MPI. While pefromance is OK it cewrtainly doens't keep up with the crew. If I were to super charge it, should I plan on ripping the FI totally off and go carb. I know of no one in this neck of the woods that can set the FI up.
I'm prepping for next Winter project.

They'll set U up with a local facility that can install the charger, unless you have a good farmer friend to do it for you. I'll be adding a whipple to my 6.2 this winter to boost it to 490HP at the crank (by myself Dr Jeff). I bought my boat wih the 6.2 versus the 496 because the $$ difference with 55 more HP and around 200 pounds heavier. The $$ difference will pay for the whipple and get me 105 HP more than the big sow.
I can't go wrong with a whipple. Easy to install, runability at idle is the same, and great factory support.

I like the looks of the whipples.
So Interceptor which 6.2 do you have? 320,340,377HP? I have a block setting on the stand that would work nicely as for a 377. But I'm keep looking at the 3.75 stroke, rod length, and rings all forced so close so close to the top of the pistons.
I was concerned that the combination I was mapping out would only be worth about 200-250 hours.
My plan was to find a SC, throw it on my 300+ hour 350, sort it out, see what I like and what I don't then switch a fresh long block underneath.
Who knows. I've got one kid graduating in a month another next year, maybe all I'll have the $s for is maintain current performance.

You'll blow an alpha drive in a hurry if you SC it.

This 350 has a Bravo drive pushing it up the river. So atleast from that prespective I should be ok. [smilie=071.gif] It would definitely be fun to play with another 100hp or so.
