Description: This annual event will offer everything from 10' personal watercraft up to 40'-45' express creusers and motor yachts. Show promoters feel it's going to be "the best little boat show in the Midwest... but it's not just for little boats."

So far I have a quote of $79.00 for saturday the 24th at the Sheraton. My contact is still waiting for the big boss to come in and get a cheaper price. Also VIP limo willl hook us up so we need a head count on who might want to go clubbing in the limo so we can gat the right size rig......I'd like to get the Hummer.

So what are the official plans for the boat show. Actually, the bash after the boat show. A bunch of the NE/IA crew are coming down an we need to hook up with everyone else that's going.

How bout some plans from the KC people as to where to meet, what to do that night, how we're going to find or get ahold of each other etc.

I think I have JFTD and ND with me. Going down Satuday morning we are going to hook up with Carrie and Scott. Going back to Topeka to stay the night, not sure how long we will stay in OP at this point.

We will be there on Saturday afternoon; however, I am on call. This sucks and means no adult beverages. I'm only on call ever 11 weeks but each time I have the call out duties...there is always something going on. Just my luck I guess. I will still be in attendence though suffering through it all.

Prolly around 6 or 7 o'clock. Last year I think we met, had some food and libations then head to the show. The show won't take long. Last year we head back to Johnny's then some went clubbing.

Jen isn't sure if she is going to go down with Adam and Gina to LOTO first or come down on Saturday morning, I'll know more then. I was planning on taking the Jetta - 44 mpg and not the truck. Jetta would be tight for four people. Are you going to stay with Carrie and Scott in Topeka after we do the show and meet some people?

Sounds like we have a free hookup for an apartment in KC. One of HM's friends has a deal kinda like Tom, where he works in KC during the week and lives in omaha. He gave us the keys, but we're trying to figure out exactly where it is. I hear its a little one bedroom, and supposedly its only about 15 min from the convention center.

If its really that close, we're probably staying there. I'll know more later this week. BTW, the more the merrier if we do stay there, if you you don't mind floors and couches.

According to mapquest, its only 1.5 miles away. But I've known mapquest to be very wrong.

Is the overland park convention center the same as the pepsi center?

As a matter of fact I thought the pepsi center was in denver, but people keep telling me there's one in KC too. :shock:

He told me he lives right by one convention center and about 30 minutes from the other.

Your close. From there go north to 103rd street then either east to Nall or west to Metcalf then south to College Blvd and it's between Nall and Metcalf. I also believe that Glennwood, the street where the convention center is, goes straight to Johnny's if you go south.

I think the Pepsi Center is in Olathe, it's call Pepsi Ice.

I was there last year and I gave it a 6 on a scale from 1-10. Baja was there, Formula I dont think was there. Profile yes-- Elim. yes--- mostly between 24 and 30 feet as I recall.
Some cruisers also.
