Hello, and welcome to the brand new Midwest Boating Forum. Judging by the success of other boating forums that a lot of midwest boaters seem to use, my hope is that we can establish a forum for those of us land-locked boaters that live in the area. Hopefully, this will be a way to meet new boaters in the midwest and keep informed on any local events.

Please be patient, as I have no idea what I'm doing running a forum. I have a feeling this site will be changing often.

Please feel free to leave any suggestions, comments, gripes etc.

Check back often, and tell your friends.

That's the goal of this site. Stay tuned and tell your boating friends so we can hopefully get some more traffic on this site.

Speaking of Captain Morgan. How do you drink it? If you 've only tried it with Coke (or some version of coke) you will have to try it with 7-Up. If you like cream soda it tastes exactly like that. We were at one of our many hang outs at LOTO when the Captain himself showed up and after telling him we named our dog after him he gave us this new (to us) way to drink that Carribean beverage we so well enjoy.
Try it that way if you haven't, I think you will be impressed and enjoy it yourself.

I think starting a boating forum for midwest boaters will in no way be succesfull. It's too big of a risk, nobody will spend anytime there. Save your effort.

I couldn't agree more. During the day most of us are at work and do not have time to surf the net and read forums, not to mention respond to them. In the evenings we are at home with our families spending quality time with them. Also who would stay up late reading this kind of crap. My money would be the people would rather spend money on Boating World or something like that.

Then someone wanted to know how they could post pics themselves instead of me posting them. We switched to a forum software, and we needed a name. I think there was one more name before we finally landed on Midwestboatparty, but I can't remember what it was. [smilie=042.gif]

I do not really remeber how I found this site, but I have to admit it is the one I look at the most everyday.

I am not a boater per say, I do have friends that boat at Norfolk I love to canoe.

Oh did I mention I like photos of women in thongs, and people partying, and the other great converstions that go on here.

I never realized it started with a different name. It was MWBP when I joined in '04.

Okay, I'm a dumbass, the second name we came up with is right there in the first post. It went from Drjeff.info to DJ's Midwest Boating Forum, and finally to Midwestboatparty.

What ever name it's had, it's still the best one going. It's great to have all different types of boaters that can share info on all different sizes of boats. Hope to meet a lot of you this summer

DJ- Thanks for setting up this site! Before I found it I would just google LOTO when I would start missing the lake. I check the forums out almost every day to get my lake fix! You guys did a great job and I don't think we could of asked for a better forum for LOTO!

Thats why I don't think a midwest boating forum would work. Give it what, six months to a year and people would lose interest and go back to surfing for porn at work.............or looking at email. [smilie=crazy]

If people only knew how much entertainment this site brings to the work place they would join too. Its frick'n awsome. I don't know how many times I start laughing out loud.
